Michael Gallup DAL WR
Raiders' Michael Gallup: Lands in Las Vegas
5h agoGallup agreed to terms on a one-year, $3 million contract with the Raiders on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
After a six-year stint in Dallas to start his career, Gallup will get a fresh start in Las Vegas. His second year with the Cowboys generated plenty of optimism, as he tallied 1,107 yards receiving to go along with six touchdowns. However, he has failed to replicate those types of numbers since. With Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers locked in as the Raiders' top pass catchers, Gallup will compete with the likes of Tre Tucker and DJ Turner, among others, for the No. 3 pass-catching role.

Curtis Samuel BUF WR
Bills' Curtis Samuel: Get competition via draft
5h agoSamuel has a new teammate in the receiving room after the Bills took Keon Coleman out of Florida State with the first pick of the second round Friday.
Samuel, signed as a free agent in March, was never going to be a No. 1 or even a No. 2 in Buffalo, but now we at least know who's been brought in ahead of him on the depth chart. It's a mild surprise the Bills chose only one receiver with their 10 draft picks, so for now the versatile Samuel likely sits No. 3 in the pecking order behind Khalil Shakir and Coleman. That said, this is a perfect offense for Samuel's skill set, and he'll be a weapon of some sort once things get going, just not the primary receiving option.

Shane Lemieux NYG OG
Saints' Shane Lemieux: Joining up with Saints
6h agoNew Orleans signed Lemieux (biceps) on Monday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
The Giants opted not to hold on to Lemieux after the termination of his rookie contract, but he's now found another chance with the Saints. He's set to compete for a roster spot among an offensive line that underwhelmed in 2023.
-
Matt Hembrough ARI LS
Matt Hembrough: Done with Cards
6h agoArizona waived Hembrough (back) on Monday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
In a corresponding move, Arizona signed rookie free-agent long snapper Joe Shimko. Hembrough now will have to look for his next opportunity with a new team after spending his entire rookie season on the injured reserve list.
-
Griffin Hebert PHI WR
Griffin Hebert: Gets let go
6h agoHebert was waived by the Eagles on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hebert joined Philadelphia's practice squad late last season and turned that into a reserve/future contract with the team in January. However, the Louisiana Tech product's time with the team will come to an end for now, and he'll have the chance to pursue new opportunities.
-
Kyle Pitts ATL TE
Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Has 2025 option exercised
7h agoThe Falcons exercised Pitts' 2025 fifth-year option, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
It's a no-brainer move for the Falcons, even if Pitts, the No. 8 overall pick of the 2021 Draft, is coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons after going over 1,000 yards as a rookie. The hope in Atlanta is that the acquisition of Kirk Cousins coupled with the new coaching staff can help maximize Pitts' abilities. Pitts' figures to be a popular 2024 rebound candidate in both real life and fantasy football.

Joe Boyle OAK SP
Athletics' Joe Boyle: Collects second win
4m agoBoyle (2-4) yielded a run on one hit and four walks over five innings Monday, striking out four and earning a win over the Pirates.
Boyle was charged with a run on a wild pitch in the first inning but otherwise didn't face much trouble. However, his command still continues to cause issues; he threw just 45 of 91 pitches for strikes, including only six whiffs. Boyle now owns a chaotic 28:20 K:BB with a 6.08 ERA through 26.2 innings (six starts). He's completed over five innings just one time this season. Boyle's next matchup is currently projected to be at home against the Marlins this weekend.
-
Bailey Falter PIT SP
Pirates' Bailey Falter: Tagged with five runs
5m agoFalter (2-2) allowed five runs on six hits over five innings Monday, striking out five and taking a loss against Oakland.
Falter gave up one run through three innings before the Athletics plated two runs in each of the fourth and fifth frames. The 27-year-old southpaw had allowed just four runs over his previous four starts (23 innings) before Monday's rough outing. On a better note, he forced 11 swinging strikes Monday, giving him 25 over his last two starts. Falter will carry a 4.22 ERA into his next outing, which is projected to be at home against the Rockies this weekend.
-
Bryse Wilson MIL RP
Brewers' Bryse Wilson: Takes tough loss
1h agoWilson (2-1) allowed one run on four hits and two walks over six innings Monday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Rays.
Wilson coughed up a run in the first inning but finished his night with five straight scoreless frames. It was the first time this season he finished at least five innings and he dropped his season ERA to 3.00 through 24 innings. Wilson forced 10 whiffs Monday after totaling just nine over his previous three appearances (9.1 innings). Wilson is currently slated to face the Cubs on the road this weekend.
-
Jason Adam TB RP
Rays' Jason Adam: Escapes with save
2h agoAdam allowed a hit and a walk in a scoreless inning Monday. He struck out two and earned a save over the Brewers.
Adam also hit a batter and faced a bases-loaded situation with two outs but still narrowly finished off the 1-0 win. It was his first save of the year after blowing his only other chance April 5 against the Rockies. Adam now owns a 1.29 ERA with a 12:4 K:BB and seven holds through 14 innings.
-
Jazz Chisholm MIA CF
Marlins' Jazz Chisholm: Belts fourth homer
2h agoChisholm went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 7-2 loss to the Nationals.
He spoiled Jake Irvin's attempt at a shutout by launching a fastball over the fence in center field in the sixth inning. Chisholm has gone yard in back-to-back games on the heels of a 17-game homer drought, and the 26-year-old could be catching fire. On the season, he's slashing .245/.339/.406 with four homers, five steals, 13 runs and 17 RBI in 29 contests.
-
Trevor Rogers MIA SP
Marlins' Trevor Rogers: Remains winless
2h agoRogers (0-4) took the loss Monday, giving up three runs on four hits and three walks over five innings as the Marlins fell 7-2 to the Nationals. He struck out three.
The southpaw threw 55 of 89 pitches for strikes before exiting, and all three of the free passes he issued came in the fifth inning -- including one to Jesse Winker with the bases loaded. Rogers has gone at least five innings in all six of his starts so far this season but has yet to complete six frames, and he'll take a 4.31 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 27:12 K:BB through 31.1 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in Oakland.

CJ McCollum NO PG
Pelicans' CJ McCollum: Paces scoring effort
3m agoMcCollum amassed 20 points (9-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 37 minutes during Monday's 97-89 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
McCollum didn't have his best shooting night from beyond the arc, but he still led the Pelicans with 20 points and also managed to stuff the stat sheet. The 32-year-old averaged 17.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.5 steals in the opening-round series loss (four games).
-
Jonas Valanciunas NO C
Pelicans' Jonas Valanciunas: Strong effort in loss
7m agoValanciunas supplied 19 points (6-15 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and one steal across 26 minutes during Monday's 97-89 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Valanciunas finished second on his team in scoring and put together a valiant effort on the glass, marking his second double-double of the first round. However, his production wasn't enough to avoid a series sweep as the Thunder were simply too much to handle without the help of Zion Williamson (hamstring).
-
Jalen Williams OKC SF
Thunder's Jalen Williams: Delivers 11 fourth-quarter points
10m agoWilliams ended Monday's 97-89 win over the Pelicans in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 24 points (9-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals over 38 minutes.
Williams made his mark in the fourth quarter of Monday's series-clinching win, scoring six of his 11 fourth-quarter points from downtown while adding two boards and one steal in 12 minutes of action. He scored 20-plus points in the final three matchups of the opening round and will continue to be a key piece of the puzzle for a young Thunder team moving deeper into the postseason.
-
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OKC SG
Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Notches double-double in series finale
16m agoGilgeous-Alexander totaled 24 points (8-21 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-13 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocks over 40 minutes during Monday's 97-89 win over the Pelicans in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Gilgeous-Alexander struggled with his shooting touch in this one, but he crashed the boards for a series-high 10 rebounds, marking his first double-double of the 2024 postseason. The Kentucky product appeared to tweak his ankle during Monday's matchup, but he was able to work through the issue on the Thunder bench and eventually returned to lead his team to a series-clinching victory. "Just tweaked it," said head coach Mark Daigneault on Gilgeous-Alexander's ankle injury. "Obviously good enough to go back into the game. He'll need treatment. These next couple days will really help him. Obviously didn't impact his availability in tonight's game, nor should it moving forward."

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope DEN SG
Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Starts second half
1h agoCaldwell-Pope (ankle) is starting the second half of Monday's Game 5 against the Lakers, Vinny Benedetto of The Denver Gazette reports.
Caldwell-Pope likely received additional treatment while in the locker room at halftime and will try yet again to give it a go. He suffered a left ankle sprain during the first quarter of Monday's matchup.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope DEN SG
Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Back to locker room
1h agoCaldwell-Pope walked back to the locker room during the second quarter of Monday's Game 5 against the Lakers, Vinny Benedetto of The Denver Gazette reports.
Caldwell-Pope suffered a sprained left ankle during the first quarter and didn't appear to be moving well after returning, per Benedetto. It's unclear whether he'll be able to come back for the second half.
-
Vladimir Tarasenko FLA RW
Panthers' Vladimir Tarasenko: Logs helper in Game 5 win
1m agoTarasenko recorded an assist in Monday's 6-1 win over the Lightning in Game 5.
Tarasenko provided decent depth offense in the first round, earning a goal, two assists and four shots on net over five games. He also had eight hits and five blocked shots. Tarasenko's ice time has been limited so far in the playoffs, and that will make it difficult for him to put up more points as the matchups get tougher.
-
Matthew Tkachuk FLA LW
Panthers' Matthew Tkachuk: Two more assists Monday
3m agoTkachuk registered two assists and six shots on goal in Monday's 6-1 win over the Lightning in Game 5.
Tkachuk helped out on third-period goals by Aleksander Barkov and Carter Verhaeghe. This was Tkachuk's fourth multi-point effort in five playoff games -- he has accumulated three goals and six assists in the postseason. The winger should continue to see heavy usage in a top-six role while providing solid offense and physical play.
-
Evan Rodrigues FLA C
Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Tallies in Game 5 win
7m agoRodrigues scored a goal on three shots and added eight hits in Monday's 6-1 win over the Lightning in Game 5.
Rodrigues contributed to the Panthers' third-period rally in their series-clinching win. The goal was his first of the playoffs, and he's added one assist, seven shots on net, 25 hits and an even plus-minus rating over five postseason outings. He should continue to occupy a middle-six role.
-
Niko Mikkola FLA D
Panthers' Niko Mikkola: One of each Monday
9m agoMikkola scored an empty-net goal, added an assist, logged five hits and blocked three shots in Monday's 6-1 win over the Lightning in Game 5.
Mikkola helped out on Carter Verhaeghe's opening goal in the second period and scored the final goal of the game in the third. This was Mikkola's first multi-point effort since Dec. 6. He's maintained steady ice time in a top-four role this season, though he's rarely a big contributor on offense. The 28-year-old blueliner had three goals, 17 points, 93 shots on net, 199 hits, 124 blocked shots and 69 PIM over 86 regular-season outings.
-
Carter Verhaeghe FLA C
Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Strong in series-clinching win
12m agoVerhaeghe scored two goals on eight shots, dished an assist and went plus-3 in Monday's 6-1 win over the Lightning in Game 5.
Verhaeghe wrapped up the first round with five goals and four assists over five contests. The 28-year-old started the scoring early in the second period, helped out on an Aleksander Barkov goal in the third and then deposited an empty-netter toward the end of the game. Verhaeghe's playoff performances are becoming the stuff of legends -- he had 17 points over 21 outings last spring and appears to be even better in 2024.
-
Aleksander Barkov FLA C
Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Three-point effort in win
14m agoBarkov scored twice on four shots, added an assist, went plus-4, levied four hits and blocked two shots in Monday's 6-1 win over the Lightning in Game 5.
Barkov's first tally was a shorthanded one in the second period, and it stood as the series-clinching goal. He also added the first of four goals in the third as the Panthers ran away with the win. The center ends the first round of the playoffs with five points, 14 shots on net, 14 hits, six blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over five appearances. He posted 23 goals and 80 points over 73 regular-season outings while serving as the Panthers' top-line center.
