AJ Parker: Waived with non-football injury
4h agoThe Panthers waived Parker with an undisclosed non-football injury Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The details and severity of Parker's injury are unknown, other than the fact that it did not occur on the football field. The cornerback will now be available to be claimed off waivers should any other teams show interest.

Raequan Williams CAR DT
Raequan Williams: Gets waived/injured
4h agoWilliams was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday due to an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
No details have been released regarding more information on the severity of Williams' injury. He will presumably revert to Carolina's injured reserve assuming he clears waivers, which means his 2024 season will be done unless both parties can reach an injury settlement.
-
Ilm Manning CAR OT
Ilm Manning: Waived/injured by Carolina
4h agoManning was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday with an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
There is no word on the severity of Manning's injury. Assuming he clears waivers, the guard will subsequently revert to Carolina's injured reserve. From there, he would need to reach an injury settlement with the team at some point lest his 2024 season comes to a premature end.

Bradlee Anae NYJ DE
Falcons' Bradlee Anae: Inks deal with Atlanta
7h agoAnae (undisclosed) has agreed to terms on a contract with the Falcons, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
This news comes less than 24 hours after Anae's tryout in Atlanta. His 2023 season came to an end early, as the Jets placed him on injured reserve nearly one year ago with an undisclosed injury presumably suffered during offseason workouts. The defensive end's addition to Atlanta's roster indicates his health is back up to par, so he will now compete for a role in the trenches.

Gerrid Doaks HOU RB
Gerrid Doaks: Cut by Houston
23h agoThe Texans waived Doaks on Friday.
Doaks spent most of the past two seasons with Houston's practice squad and had signed a reserve/future contract with the club in January. However, he was cut Friday after the Texans reshaped their running back room in the offseason by trading for Joe Mixon, adding Jawhar Jordan in the draft and signing British Brooks as an undrafted free agent. Doaks has yet to play a snap in the NFL.
-
Je'Quan Burton 2005 WR
Dolphins' Je'Quan Burton: Headed to Miami
23h agoThe Dolphins signed Burton on Friday.
As a senior at Florida Atlantic, Burton hauled in 24 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns. Miami's wide receiver depth chart will be tough to crack for any undrafted rookie ahead of 2024.

Brandon Nimmo NYM LF
Mets' Brandon Nimmo: Exits with intercostal irritation
4m agoNimmo left Saturday's game against Atlanta with right intercostal irritation, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.
Nimmo went 0-for-1 with a walk before exiting after the fourth inning. He suffered the injury on a checked swing and may undergo further tests after the game. Tyrone Taylor replaced Nimmo in left field.
-
Evan Carter TEX LF
Rangers' Evan Carter: Sitting Saturday
17m agoCarter is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.
Despite the Rockies sending out right-hander Ryan Feltner, the lefty-hitting Carter will begin Saturday's contest in the dugout. Carter has gone 7-for-34 with five runs and four RBI while posting a 35.1 percent strikeout rate in May. Travis Jankowski will start in left field and bat seventh.
-
Luis Campusano SD C
Padres' Luis Campusano: On bench Saturday
27m agoCampusano is not in Saturday's lineup against the Dodgers.
Campusano is hitting .304 with one home run and three doubles in seven games this month. Kyle Higashioka is starting at catcher and batting ninth.
-
Easton Lucas OAK RP
Athletics' Easton Lucas: Sent down to Triple-A
27m agoThe Athletics optioned Lucas to Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday.
The move corresponds with the Athletics recalling right-hander Joey Estes from Triple-A Las Vegas. After having his contract selected from Las Vegas on Wednesday, Lucas struggled in his two major-league outings, giving up three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six over 2.1 innings. Lucas has a more respectable 2.87 ERA and 1.32 WHIP over 15.2 frames in Triple-A, so a return to the minors could help the southpaw regain some form.
-
Jake Cronenworth SD 1B
Padres' Jake Cronenworth: Riding pine vs. lefty
29m agoCronenworth is not in Saturday's lineup against the Dodgers.
Cronenworth will head to the bench with lefty James Paxton on the hill for Los Angeles. Donovan Solano is starting at third base while Luis Arraez starts at first base and Manny Machado gets the nod at designated hitter.
-
Jackson Merrill SD CF
Padres' Jackson Merrill: Heads to bench Saturday
31m agoMerrill is not in Saturday's lineup against the Dodgers.

Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Questionable to play Sunday
2m agoHaliburton is questionable for Sunday's Game 4 against the Knicks due to back and ankle injuries.
Haliburton is pretty banged up, as the star floor general is dealing with three different injuries ahead of Sunday's contest: low back spasms, a sacral contusion and a right ankle sprain. Haliburton has been playing well of late and has surpassed the 30-point mark in each of Indiana's last two games.
-
Aaron Nesmith IND SF
Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Iffy for Game 4
5m agoNesmith is questionable for Sunday's Game 4 against New York with right shoulder soreness.
Nesmith's shoulder injury is new, as he seemingly picked up the issue during the Pacers Game 3 win. Nesmith has averaged 34.3 minutes per game during the series, which could open up plenty of minutes for Doug McDermott and Ben Sheppard if Nesmith winds up sitting Sunday.
-
OG Anunoby NY SF
Knicks' OG Anunoby: Ruled out for Game 4
7m agoAnunoby (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's Game 4 against the Pacers.
This is hardly a surprise given how tricky hamstring injuries are to deal with. Anunoby has been traveling with the team and is likely getting treatment around the clock. In the meantime, the Knicks are likely to play a very tight rotation with Alec Burks getting extended run in Game 4.
-
Jalen Williams OKC SF
Thunder's Jalen Williams: Checking back in
10m agoWilliams (ankle) has returned to Saturday's Game 3 against the Mavericks, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.
Williams took a trip to the locker room late in the third quarter with what seemed to be a left ankle injury, but he'll be back in action for the fourth period. His return should mean fewer minutes for Gordon Hayward and Jaylin Williams down the stretch.

Jalen Williams OKC SF
Thunder's Jalen Williams: Heads to locker room
16m agoWilliams went to the locker room during Saturday's Game 3 with what appears to be a left ankle injury, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.
Williams stepped on Josh Green's foot and went down while the play continued. He limped off the court and directly into the locker room, where he'll undergo further evaluation. While he's out, Jaylin Williams and Gordon Hayward could see more action.
-
Daniel Gafford DAL C
Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Starts second half
31m agoGafford (shoulder) has returned for the second half, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.
Gafford briefly went to the locker room in the second period grabbing at his left shoulder but was able to take the floor for the second half. If he's restricted due to the injury, Dereck Lively would be next in line for minutes.
-
Jani Hakanpaa DAL D
Stars' Jani Hakanpaa: Still unavailable
1h agoHakanpaa (lower body) won't play Saturday in Game 3 against Colorado, according to Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News.
Hakanpaa missed the final 13 games of the regular season and will sit out his 10th consecutive playoff contest. He earned two goals, 12 points, 56 shots on net, 123 blocked shots and 196 hits in 64 appearances during the 2023-24 campaign.
-
Jake Oettinger DAL G

4h agoOettinger will guard the road cage Saturday against Colorado in Game 3, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Oettinger has allowed seven goals on 57 shots in the first two games of the series, but he'll be back at it Saturday with Dallas looking to take the lead in the series. Oettinger is 5-4-0 in the postseason with a .914 save percentage and 2.24 GAA.
-
Arvid Holm COL G
Arvid Holm: Signs overseas
4h agoHolm has signed a three-year contract with Rogle BK of the SHL, Brennan Vogt of The-Rink.com reports.
This deal could spell the end of Holm's career in North America. The 25-year-old netminder didn't appear in an NHL game -- he went 6-6-0 with an .887 save percentage with AHL Colorado this year.
-
Brad Marchand BOS LW
Bruins' Brad Marchand: Deemed day-to-day
4h agoMarchand (upper body) was deemed day-to-day by coach Jim Montgomery on Saturday.
Marchand was forced out of Friday's 6-2 Game 3 loss after taking a hit from Sam Bennett. The 36-year-old Marchand has three goals and 10 points in 10 games this postseason. He'll likely be a game-time decision prior to Game 4 on Sunday. Jesper Boqvist would likely reenter the lineup if Marchand ultimately can't play.
-
Filip Chytil NYR C
Rangers' Filip Chytil: Not skating Saturday
6h agoChytil (illness) wasn't present at morning skate Saturday prior to Game 4 in Carolina, Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today reports.
Chytil played 12:02 of ice time in Game 3, marking his first appearance since early November as he returned from a head injury. There's a chance the Rangers hold the 24-year-old center out Saturday, which would allow Matt Rempe to slot back into the lineup.
-
Carson Soucy VAN D
Canucks' Carson Soucy: Supplies assist in loss
15h agoSoucy logged an assist and two PIM in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Soucy has found more success in the second round with three helpers over two games after he put up just one assist in six contests during the first round versus the Predators. The 29-year-old blueliner isn't expected to put up a lot of offense while filling a bottom-four role on defense. Soucy has added 24 hits, seven blocked shots, four PIM and a plus-2 rating through eight playoff contests.
