Rasheen Ali BAL RB
Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Right on schedule
5m agoAli (biceps) is participating in some of the Ravens' minicamp drills and is expected to be fully recovered ahead of training camp, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
The rookie fifth-round pick ruptured his biceps tendon at the Senior Bowl back in late January, but the Marshall product is expected to be fully recovered ahead of Baltimore's training camp in August. Ali is poised to compete for a pivotal role in the backfield with J.K. Dobbins (Achilles) and Gus Edwards both with the Chargers and Keaton Mitchell (knee) still recovering after tearing his ACL in December.

Rasheen Ali BAL RB
Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Hopeful for training camp
2h agoHead coach John Harbaugh indicated Saturday that he expects Ali (biceps) to be good to go in time for training camp, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Ali ruptured his biceps tendon at the Senior Bowl, but he was still selected by the Ravens in the fifth round of this year's draft. The intriguing prospect had multiple 1,000-yard seasons with Marshall, but he also missed nearly the entire 2022 campaign due to an MCL injury. When healthy, he projects to compete for a role providing depth in Baltimore's backfield behind Derrick Henry.

Ro Torrence 2005 CB
Seahawks' Ro Torrence: Lands with Seahawks
21h agoSeattle signed Torrence to a contract Friday, Howard Balzer of GoPHNX.com reports.
Torrence wasn't selected in the NFL Draft in late April but will get a shot to make his case for a roster or practice-squad spot after signing with the Seahawks. The 6-foot-3 defensive back played the final two seasons of college with Arizona State and totaled 37 tackles (including 2.0 sacks) along with an interception in 2023. Torrence allowed just 20 receptions in coverage last season, the lowest total among Pac-12 cornerbacks with at least 300 snaps played in coverage during the regular season.

Kitan Oladapo GB SAF
Packers' Kitan Oladapo: Undergoes toe surgery
22h agoOladapo (toe) has undergone surgery and is not expected to be ready for OTAs, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Although he will miss OTAs, the team remains optimistic that Oladapo will be ready for training camp after suffering a stress fracture doing drills on the turf at the NFL Combine. The rookie was the third safety selected by the Packers in the 2024 NFL Draft, following Javon Bullard and Evan Williams. The Oregon State product will need to get his health back up to par in order to make an impression during training camp.

Le'Raven Clark PHI OT
Eagles' Le'Raven Clark: Placed on IR
22h agoThe Eagles placed Clark on injured reserve Friday.
It is unclear what Clark's injury is or how he sustained it, but he is a rare offseason addition to IR. This will allow the Eagles some roster flexibility going forward. The journeyman failed to make a roster or practice squad during the 2023 season, but he will look to bounce back once his health is back up to par.
-
Tyler Harrell 2005 WR
Jets' Tyler Harrell: Joins Jets
22h agoThe Jets signed Harrell on Friday, Ethan Greenberg and John Pullano of the team's official site report.
Harrell totaled four receptions for 45 yards as a sixth-year senior at Miami in 2023. The Jets are thin at wide receiver going into 2024, so he could be in the competition for the last few spots on their final depth chart.
-
Joey Wiemer MIL LF
Brewers' Joey Wiemer: No structural damage in knee
5m agoWiemer was diagnosed with a strained popliteus muscle in his left knee Saturday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Wiemer added that the results of his MRI revealed no ligament damage. The 25-year-old outfielder fell awkwardly during Friday's win over the Cubs and landed on the injured list Saturday, though it doesn't seem like he will be in line for a long-term IL stint.

Graham Pauley SD 3B
Padres' Graham Pauley: Optioned to Triple-A
20m agoThe Padres optioned Pauley to Triple-A El Paso on Saturday.
Pauley will be squeezed off the major-league roster following the acquisition of Luis Arraez from Miami. Pauley has been fantastic in the minors but struggled to get going upon joining the Padres, slashing .125/.125/313 across 32 plate appearances. The 23-year-old infielder may still return to the big leagues later this season as a bench piece, but San Diego's loaded infield unit will make it hard for him to contribute on a regular basis.
-
Luke Raley SEA RF
Mariners' Luke Raley: Sits down against southpaw
30m agoRaley isn't in the Mariners' lineup Saturday against Houston.
Framber Valdez will toe the slab for the Astros on Saturday, meaning the lefty-hitting Raley will step out of the lineup. Sam Haggerty will enter as Seattle's left fielder and bat ninth.
-
Josh Rojas SEA 3B
Mariners' Josh Rojas: Idle versus LHP
38m agoRojas isn't in the Mariners' lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros.
Left-hander Framber Valdez will take the mound Saturday for Houston, sending the left-handed bat of Rojas to the bench for the beginning of the game. Luis Urias will cover the hot corner instead and bat eighth.
-
Ryan O'Hearn BAL DH
Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Gets breather against lefty
1h agoO'Hearn isn't in the Orioles' lineup Saturday against the Reds, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
O'Hearn will stay put in the Orioles' dugout as the Reds send out lefty Andrew Abbott to start on the mound. Adley Rutschman will serve as Baltimore's DH while O'Hearn rests, allowing James McCann to start behind the plate.
-
Colton Cowser BAL LF
Orioles' Colton Cowser: Sitting against lefty
1h agoCowser isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
With lefty Andrew Abbott set to take the mound for Cincinnati, the lefty-hitting Cowser will begin Saturday's contest on the bench. His absence will open a spot for Ryan McKenna to start in left field while batting ninth.
-
Craig Porter Jr. CLE PG
Cavaliers' Craig Porter: Out again Sunday
1m agoPorter (ankle) will not play in Sunday's Game 7 against the Magic.
This will be the seventh game in a row on the shelf for Porter, and he remains without a timetable for a return.
-
Jarrett Allen CLE C
Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Questionable for Game 7
2m agoAllen (ribs) is questionable to play in Sunday's Game 7 against the Magic.
Allen has missed the last two games of the series while dealing with a rib injury, and the questionable tag doesn't shed a lot of light regarding his potential availability for the series finale. The Cavaliers need Allen to be at his best, though, as he's an influential piece of the team on both ends of the court. Allen is averaging 17.0 points, 13.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game in the first-round series against Orlando through four appearances.
-
Gary Harris ORL SG
Magic's Gary Harris: Questionable for Game 7
2m agoHarris (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's Game 7 against the Cavaliers.
After suffering his hamstring injury in Game 5, Harris missed his first game of the series on Friday in Game 6. If the veteran is unable to suit up Sunday, Jonathan Isaac could potentially make another start due to his defensive versatility.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Expected to play Saturday
11m agoDenver coach Michael Malone said he expects Murray (calf) to play in Saturday's Game 1 versus Minnesota, but he remains a game-time call, Brendan Vogt of TheDNVR.com reports.
Murray will go through his usual warmup for Game 1, and if he gets through it without any setbacks, he should be all set to take the court. Murray was terrific in the previous round against the Lakers, posting 23.6 points and 7.2 assists per game.
-
Lonzo Ball CHI PG
Bulls' Lonzo Ball: Picks up option for 2024-25
1h agoBall (knee) has picked up the $21.4 million player option in his contract for the 2024-25 season, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Ball continues to work toward a potential comeback before he hits the open market next summer, as he signed an original four-year, $80 million free agent deal in 2021, so it was a no-brainer for him to pick up this option. Ball hasn't logged minutes at the NBA level since Jan. 2022, but both the player and the organization are hopeful he'll be able to step on the hardwood at some point during the 2024-25 campaign.
-
Maxi Kleber DAL C
Mavericks' Maxi Kleber: Likely out for postseason
2h agoKleber (shoulder) is expected to miss a significant amount of time, if not the entire postseason, due to a full dislocation of his right AC joint, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Kleber suffered the injury in Friday's Game 6 victory over the Clippers. Barring a quick turnaround, it looks like Dallas will need to start planning to be without him going forward. As a result, Derrick Jones and Josh Green are candidates to see increased roles providing depth behind P.J. Washington at power forward.
-
Nicolas Hague LV D
Golden Knights' Nicolas Hague: Out for Game 7
4h agoHague (lower body) won't play in Game 7 against Dallas on Sunday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Hague hasn't played since suffering the injury late in Game 1. The 25-year-old blueliner went scoreless in his final 20 regular-season contests this year -- he finished with two goals and 12 over 73 outings. Alec Martinez and Zach Whitecloud should round out Vegas' defensive corps while Hague is sidelined.
-
Adam Henrique EDM C
Oilers' Adam Henrique: Set to play in Game 1
4h agoHenrique (lower body) is expected to play in Game 1 of Edmonton's second-round series against Vancouver, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.
Henrique didn't practice Saturday after skipping Friday's session for maintenance. Still, he's projected to play once the second round begins. Henrique has generated one goal, one assist, four shots on net and 22 hits through five outings this postseason.
-
Brett Pesce CAR D
Hurricanes' Brett Pesce: Not traveling to New York
5h agoPesce (lower body) won't travel with the Hurricanes ahead of Game 1 against the Rangers on Sunday, ruling him out for the first two games of the series, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Pesce missed the final three games of Carolina's opening-round series after suffering a lower-body injury in Game 2 against the Islanders. The 29-year-old blueliner has one assist in two playoff games after tallying three goals and 13 points in 70 regular-season contests. Tony DeAngelo will likely remain on the Hurricanes' second pairing until Pesce can return.
-
Auston Matthews TOR C
Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Skating Saturday
5h agoMatthews (illness) skated at practice, though his status remains unclear for Saturday's Game 7 against the Bruins, Mike Zeisberger of NHL.com reports.
It's the first time Matthews has practiced since he left Game 4 with an illness. He has missed the last two games of the series. Getting Matthews back would be a massive boost for the Leafs in Game 7, though it appears he'll remain a game-time decision for now.
-
Bobby McMann TOR C
Maple Leafs' Bobby McMann: Not playing Saturday
5h agoMcMann (lower body) will not be in the lineup for Game 7 in Boston on Saturday, according to Joshua Kloke of The Athletic.
The good news is that McMann is getting closer after participating in Saturday's morning skate. The 27-year-old winger will miss his ninth straight game, but he could return in time for the start of Round 2 -- should Toronto advance past Boston. McMann had 15 goals, nine assists and 117 hits across 56 regular-season games in 2023-24.
-
Raphael Lavoie EDM C
Oilers' Raphael Lavoie: Summoned from AHL
5h agoLavoie, Lane Pederson, Adam Erne, Cam Dineen, Benjamin Gleason, Philip Kemp and Olivier Rodrigue were recalled from AHL Bakersfield on Saturday.
Following the Condors' elimination from the AHL playoffs, the seven call-ups will be depth players during the Oilers' postseason run. Lavoie didn't earn a point in seven NHL regular-season games during the 2023-24 campaign.
