Izaiah Gathings KC WR
Izaiah Gathings: Cut by Kansas City
18h agoThe Chiefs waived Gathings on Saturday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Gathings inked a reserve/future deal with Kansas City back in February after being part of the team's practice squad for nearly two months to close out the 2023 campaign. He's yet to play in a regular-season game.
-
Jacob Copeland KC WR
Jacob Copeland: Cut by Kansas City
18h agoThe Chiefs waived Copeland on Saturday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Undrafted out of Maryland last year, Copeland signed a reserve/future deal with Kansas City back in January, but the team now needs his roster spot for the latest wave of undrafted signees. Copeland has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson CLE QB
Browns' Dorian Thompson-Robinson: Will have followup MRI on Monday
18h agoThompson-Robinson (hip) will undergo an MRI on Monday and is expected to participate in minicamp next week, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.
DTR suffered a hip subluxation against the Texans on Christmas Eve and was ruled out for the remainder of the Browns' season. His most recent MRI in March revealed progress in his rehab, and Thompson-Robinson is hoping the latest one this upcoming week will allow him to get the green light to do some on-field work with the team's rookies and fellow younger players. The Browns signed veteran QBs Jameis Winston and Tyler Huntley in the offseason, so DTR is facing stiff competition for backup duties behind Deshaun Watson.

Rasheen Ali BAL RB
Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Right on schedule
19h agoAli (biceps) is participating in some of the Ravens' minicamp drills and is expected to be fully recovered ahead of training camp, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
The rookie fifth-round pick ruptured his biceps tendon at the Senior Bowl back in late January, but the Marshall product is expected to be fully recovered ahead of Baltimore's training camp in August. Ali is poised to compete for a pivotal role in the backfield, as J.K. Dobbins (Achilles) and Gus Edwards are now both with the Chargers and Keaton Mitchell (knee) is still recovering after tearing his ACL in December.

Rasheen Ali BAL RB
Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Hopeful for training camp
21h agoHead coach John Harbaugh indicated Saturday that he expects Ali (biceps) to be good to go in time for training camp, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Ali ruptured his biceps tendon at the Senior Bowl, but he was still selected by the Ravens in the fifth round of this year's draft. The intriguing prospect had multiple 1,000-yard seasons with Marshall, but he also missed nearly the entire 2022 campaign due to an MCL injury. When healthy, he projects to compete for a role providing depth in Baltimore's backfield behind Derrick Henry.

Ro Torrence 2005 CB
Seahawks' Ro Torrence: Lands with Seahawks
2d agoSeattle signed Torrence to a contract Friday, Howard Balzer of GoPHNX.com reports.
Torrence wasn't selected in the NFL Draft in late April but will get a shot to make his case for a roster or practice-squad spot after signing with the Seahawks. The 6-foot-3 defensive back played the final two seasons of college with Arizona State and totaled 37 tackles (including 2.0 sacks) along with an interception in 2023. Torrence allowed just 20 receptions in coverage last season, the lowest total among Pac-12 cornerbacks with at least 300 snaps played in coverage during the regular season.

Jose Fermin STL 3B
Cardinals' Jose Fermin: Swipes bag Saturday
2m agoFermin was hit by a pitch in his lone plate appearance and stole a base in Saturday's 6-5 extra-inning loss.
Fermin has received minimal playing time since his April 24 call-up from Triple-A Memphis. He's 1-for-3 with two walks and a hit-by-pitch over five contests, and the steal was his first of the season. Fermin provides cover around the infield, but he's yet to really push Nolan Gorman at second base or Masyn Winn at shortstop for more playing time.
-
Ryan Fernandez STL RP
Cardinals' Ryan Fernandez: Takes extra-inning loss
5m agoFernandez (0-1) allowed an unearned run on two hits in one inning, taking the extra-inning loss versus the White Sox on Saturday.
Fernandez gave up an RBI single to Tommy Pham, and that ended up being the difference in Saturday's contest. Over his last five outings, Fernandez has covered 6.2 innings and allowed two runs (one earned) with a 9:2 K:BB. He's been used as a low-leverage reliever so far, but the rookie right-hander has been solid with a 2.70 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 17:5 K:BB over 13.1 innings in that role.

Jake Cave COL RF
Rockies' Jake Cave: Steps out of lineup versus lefty
10m agoCave is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.
Though the lefty-hitting Cave is on the bench Sunday with southpaw Bailey Falter on the hill for Pittsburgh, Cave started in right field both of the Rockies' last two matchups versus right-handed pitching. Cave could end up occupying the strong side of a platoon in right field with the right-handed-hitting Sean Bouchard until Kris Bryant (back) returns from the 10-day injured list.
-
Sean Bouchard COL RF
Rockies' Sean Bouchard: Back in lineup versus lefty
11m agoBouchard will start in right field and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Pirates, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.
Bouchard is back in the lineup after he was on the bench for each of the previous three games. The 27-year-old looked as though he might have been headed for a full-time role in right field once Kris Bryant (back) was placed on the injured list April 17, but Bouchard's opportunity seems to have fallen by the wayside while he's posted a .619 OPS through 33 plate appearances in the big leagues this season. While he's in starting nine Sunday against Pirates southpaw Bailey Falter, the right-handed-hitting Bouchard could end up occupying the short side of a platoon in right field with the lefty-hitting Jake Cave until Bryant returns.
-
Ezequiel Tovar COL SS
Rockies' Ezequiel Tovar: Receiving first day off
16m agoTovar is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.
Tovar will take a seat for the first time all season after starting in each of Colorado's first 33 games, enabling Alan Trejo to enter the lineup at shortstop. The Rockies are likely hoping that a day on the bench will be helpful for Tovar as he looks to break out of his recent funk at the plate; over his last nine games, he's slashing .128/.171/.154 with a 39 percent strikeout rate.
-
Hunter Renfroe KC RF
Royals' Hunter Renfroe: Taking seat Sunday
18m agoRenfroe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.
Renfroe started the first two games of the series and will head to the bench for the finale after he went 2-for-7 with a homer, a walk and three RBI. Adam Frazier will start in right field and bat eighth Sunday.
-
Jonathan Isaac ORL PF
Magic's Jonathan Isaac: Won't start Game 7
5m agoIsaac won't start Sunday's Game 7 against the Cavaliers, Philip Rossman-Reich of OrlandoMagicDaily.com reports.
With Gary Harris (hamstring) returning to the starting lineup after missing Game 6, Isaac will revert to a reserve role. Across three appearances off the bench during the opening-round series, Isaac has averaged 9.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 19.3 minutes per game.
-
Marcus Morris CLE PF
Cavaliers' Marcus Morris: Back to bench
8m agoMorris won't start Sunday's Game 7 against the Magic, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.
With Jarrett Allen (hip) sidelined, Morris got a chance in the starting unit during Game 6 but finished with just two points (1-7 FG) and eight rebounds in 27 minutes during a disappointing loss. Coach J.B. Bickerstaff has reinserted Isaac Okoro into the starting lineup in place of Morris for the decisive Game 7. In Game 5, Morris came off the bench and posted 12 points (4-9 FG) in 26 minutes.
-
Isaac Okoro CLE SF
Cavaliers' Isaac Okoro: Back in starting lineup
11m agoOkoro will start Sunday's Game 7 against the Magic, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.
With Jarrett Allen (hip) out, Okoro started Cleveland's Game 5 win and posted eight points (2-10 FG), four rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes. Okoro was replaced in the starting lineup by Marcus Morris for Game 6, but coach J.B. Bickerstaff has flipped them again ahead of Game 7. As a starter this season (43 games), Okoro has averaged 10.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals-plus-blocks in 30.1 minutes per game.
-
Jarrett Allen CLE C
Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Remains out for Game 7
14m agoAllen (ribs) has been ruled out for Sunday's Game 7 against the Magic, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.
Allen has been downgraded from questionable to out and will miss a third straight game due to a right rib contusion. Marcus Morris started Cleveland's Game 6 loss, but Isaac Okoro will move back into the lineup for Game 7, while Evan Mobley operates as the primary center.
-
Maxi Kleber DAL C
Mavericks' Maxi Kleber: Out at least three weeks
39m agoThe Mavericks announced Sunday that Kleber (shoulder) has been diagnosed with a right shoulder AC joint separation and will be re-evaluated in three weeks.
As expected, Kleber will miss significant time after a scary fall during the Mavericks' series-clinching Game 6 win over the Clippers on Friday. Given the timetable, Kleber will miss all of the second-round series against Oklahoma City and would likely remain sidelined for at least the first few games of the Western Conference Finals if Dallas can advance past the top-seeded Thunder.
-
Gary Harris ORL SG
Magic's Gary Harris: Good to go for Game 7
1h agoHarris (hamstring) is available for Sunday's Game 7 against the Cavaliers.
Harris left Game 5 early and didn't play in Game 6 due to a right hamstring strain, but he'll suit up for the decisive Game 7. Aside from a 14-point outing in Game 2, Harris hasn't been a factor offensively in the opening-round series but has been impactful defensively, racking up six steals and three blocks in five appearances.
-
Sam Bennett FLA C
Panthers' Sam Bennett: Out Monday
28m agoBennett (upper body) won't play Monday in Game 1 versus the Bruins, though he's labeled as day-to-day, per Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.
Bennett missed the final three games of Florida's opening-round series against the Lightning. While he'll miss the opening game of the second round, coach Paul Maurice said Bennett was "better than I hoped" following Sunday's morning skate. Bennett has a goal and an assist so far in the playoffs after tallying 20 goals and 41 points in the regular season.
-
Adin Hill LV G
Golden Knights' Adin Hill: First off ahead of Game 7
45m agoHill was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, according to Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, indicating he will defend the road net Sunday in Game 7 against Dallas.
Hill blanked the Stars with 23 saves in a 2-0 win in Friday's Game 6. He will make his third straight start after Logan Thompson played in the first four games of Vegas' first-round series. The 27-year-old Hill has stopped 45 of 48 shots en route to a 1-1 record this postseason.
-
Mason Marchment DAL LW
Stars' Mason Marchment: Out for Game 7
2h agoMarchment (undisclosed) won't play in Sunday's Game 7 against Vegas, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.
This will be the fifth consecutive game Marchment has missed since suffering an injury in Game 2. Evgenii Dadonov should remain in a top-six role while Marchment is sidelined.
-
Jake Oettinger DAL G
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Tending twine in Game 7
2h agoOettinger will patrol the home crease Sunday in Game 7 versus Vegas, per Stars radio host Owen Newkirk.
Oettinger stopped 28 of 29 shots in Friday's 2-0 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 6. He has surrendered just 13 goals on 164 shots en route to a 3-3 record this postseason.
-
Dylan Larkin DET C
Red Wings' Dylan Larkin: Unavailable for World Championship
3h agoLarkin won't represent Team USA at the 2024 IIHF World Championship because of an undisclosed injury, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Larkin will use the offseason to recover instead, which should put him on track to be available for training camp in the fall. He finished the 2023-24 season with 33 goals and 69 points in 68 appearances.
-
Tyler Bertuzzi TOR LW
Maple Leafs' Tyler Bertuzzi: Generates assist
12h agoBertuzzi produced an assist and three shots on goal in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Bruins in Game 7.
Bertuzzi helped out on William Nylander's third-period tally. The 29-year-old Bertuzzi put up a goal, three assists, 21 shots on net, 22 hits and a plus-2 rating over seven playoff contests as one of the Maple Leafs' more effective forwards. He's set for unrestricted free agency this summer, coming off a 43-point regular season and a one-year contract that paid him $5.5 million.
