Raiders' Carter Bradley: Finds work with Las Vegas
5m agoThe Raiders signed Bradley as an undrafted free agent Saturday.
Bradley has good size at 6-foot-3 and 213 pounds and spent the final two years of his college career at South Alabama following four years in Toledo's program. He threw for 5,996 yards at South Alabama, amassing 47 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. In Las Vegas, Bradley slides in at the bottom of the depth chart behind Gardner Minshew, Aidan O'Connell and Anthony Brown.

Daijun Edwards 2005 RB
Steelers' Daijun Edwards: Inks deal with Pittsburgh
19m agoThe Steelers signed Edwards as an undrafted free agent Saturday.
Edwards was just a one-year starter at Georgia and overall functioned as part of a backfield committee. He concluded his four-year collegiate career with a 391-2,082-24 rushing line. Edwards is strong in pass-protection and joins a Pittsburgh backfield that is led by Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren and newcomer Cordarrelle Patterson.
-
Blake Watson 2005 RB
Blake Watson: Lands with Denver
1h agoWatson is slated to sign with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports.
Watson spent five years at Old Dominion before transferring to Memphis for his super-senior season. He led the Tigers in rushing with 192-1,152-14 on the ground and added 53-480-3 as a receiver, earning All-AAC honors. Watson joins a crowded Denver backfield depth chart that includes Javonte Williams, Samaje Perine, Jaleel McLaughlin and fifth-round rookie Audric Estime.

Travis Etienne JAC RB
Jaguars' Travis Etienne: To get fifth-year option
1h agoGM Trent Baalke said Saturday that the Jaguars will exercise the fifth-year option on Etienne's rookie contract, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
The same can be said for fellow 2021 first-round pick Trevor Lawrence, which will become official by Thursday's deadline to lock in such options. After getting drafted three years ago, Etienne's pro debut was delayed due to a Lisfranc injury during the preseason in August 2021, but he's since rushed for more than 1,000 yards in both of the last two seasons while racking up 93 catches for 792 yards in 34 regular-season contests. He'll continue to lead Jacksonville's backfield for the next two campaigns ahead of Tank Bigsby once the aforementioned option is exercised.

Jalen Coker 2005 WR
Jalen Coker: Signing with Carolina
1h agoCoker is slated to sign with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Coker will reportedly get a $25,000 signing bonus and $225,000 guaranteed, per Kyed. Plus-sized at 6-foot-1 and 208 pounds, Coker was a first-team All-American at Holy Cross and led the FCS in receiving touchdowns with his 59-1,040-15 receiving line in 2023. Coker ran a 4.57 forty-yard dash at the combine and is capable of making an NFL roster as long as he is able to withstand the sizable leap in competition.
-
Frank Gore Jr. 2005 RB
Frank Gore: Signing with Buffalo
1h agoGore intends to sign with the Bills as an undrafted free agent, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
The son of longtime NFL back Frank Gore, Gore spent all four years at Southern Miss and carried the ball 759 times for 4,022 yards and 26 touchdowns during his collegiate career. A college workhorse, Gore joins a light depth chart that includes James Cook, fourth-round rookie Ray Davis, Ty Johnson and Darrynton Evans.

Jacob Young WAS CF
Nationals' Jacob Young: Steals two bases, scores four runs
1h agoYoung went 2-for-4 with an RBI, four runs scored and two stolen bases in Saturday's 11-4 win over the Marlins.
He had just two singles but managed to reach base in all five plate appearances, getting on via a hit-by-pitch, a fielder's choice and an error. It was the second multi-steal game this season for Young, who swiped three bags against the Giants back on April 9. Young is now a perfect 21-for-21 on stolen base attempts in 52 major-league games. The 24-year-old should continue to run wild as long as he's in the lineup, and his terrific defense in center field helps him in that regard. The rest of Young's offensive game is so limited, though, that he doesn't have much margin for error.
-
Jesse Winker WAS LF
Nationals' Jesse Winker: Swats grand slam Saturday
1h agoWinker went 2-for-5 with a grand slam in Saturday's 11-4 victory over the Marlins.
After walking CJ Abrams to load the bases in the top of the fifth inning, Edward Cabrera hung a curveball to Winker, who deposited it over the right-field wall to break the game open. Winker also had a single, giving him his first multi-hit game since April 16. He's now slashing .291/.404/.465 on the season for the Nationals.
-
Edward Cabrera MIA SP
Marlins' Edward Cabrera: Labors through 4.1 innings
1h agoCabrera (1-1) took the loss Saturday versus the Nationals, yielding six runs (five earned) on four hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out four.
Cabrera cruised through the first two frames, striking out three while allowing just one runner to reach base. It was a struggle after that, though, with the big blow coming in the fifth inning when Jesse Winker walloped a grand slam. Cabrera twirled a gem in his first start earlier this month, but his second outing wasn't great and this one was worse. Further inconsistency should be expected.
-
Mitchell Parker WAS SP
Nationals' Mitchell Parker: Permits one run over four frames
1h agoParker took a no-decision in Saturday's win over the Marlins, permitting one run on six hits and two walks over four innings.
The Marlins made Parker work, particularly in the first inning when he gave up two singles, walked two and allowed a run on a wild pitch. He needed 82 pitches to cover his four frames, ultimately costing him what would have been an easy win. It was easily Parker's least impressive of his three starts so far in the majors, but he did still manage to give up just the one run. The lefty's next start is tentatively slated to come on the road versus the Rangers.
-
Masataka Yoshida BOS DH
Red Sox's Masataka Yoshida: Four hits in return to lineup
1h agoYoshida went 4-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's victory over the Cubs.
Yoshida did not start the previous five games, as the Red Sox utilized Rafael Devers and Tyler O'Neill at designated hitter as they returned from injuries. He did his best to make up for lost time Saturday, doubling in a run while also adding three singles. While he has been used very little this week, the expectation is that Yoshida will remain the team's primary DH moving forward.
-
Tyler O'Neill BOS RF
Red Sox's Tyler O'Neill: Cranks ninth home run
2h agoO'Neill went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three runs scored in Saturday's win over the Cubs.
O'Neill got the scoring started with a blast over the Green Monster in the bottom of the first inning. It was the first home run this season for the 28-year-old that wasn't a solo shot. O'Neill also added a double, a single and a walk. Only Mike Trout (10) has gone deep more times so far this season than the Red Sox outfielder.

CJ McCollum NO PG
Pelicans' CJ McCollum: Rough night Saturday
2h agoMcCollum produced 16 points (7-22 FG, 2-8 3Pt), five rebounds, seven assists, one block and two steals across 35 minutes during Saturday's 106-85 loss to the Thunder in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
McCollum went just 7-of-22 from the field, summing up another rough night for the Pelicans. After falling behind early, New Orleans was never able to get back into the game, shooting just 38.1 percent from the floor as a team. McCollum needs to be better, although, at this stage, he might not have it in him. Game 4 will be on Monday when the Pelicans will look to restore some pride.
-
Matt Ryan NO SF
Pelicans' Matt Ryan: Fails to score Saturday
2h agoRyan amassed zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and one steal over three minutes during Saturday's 106-85 loss to the Thunder in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Ryan failed to score in his three minutes, adding to what was a terrible night for the Pelicans. Playing in front of their home fans, the team offered little resistance. Now on the brink of elimination, New Orleans will look to turn things around Monday, in the hope of sending the series back to Oklahoma City.
-
E.J. Liddell NO SF
Pelicans' E.J. Liddell: Rare appearance in loss
2h agoLiddell amassed one rebound in three minutes during Saturday's 106-85 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Liddell saw rare playing time in the loss, as the Pelicans were blown out on their home court. The fact that he was in the rotation tells you everything you need to know about where the Pelicans are at right now. They will look to salvage some pride when the two teams face off again in Game 4, also in New Orleans.
-
Gordon Hayward OKC SF
Thunder's Gordon Hayward: Struggles continue Saturday
2h agoHayward had four rebounds and one assist across eight minutes during Saturday's 106-85 victory over the Pelicans in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Hayward continues to be nothing more than a depth piece for the Thunder, logging just eight minutes in the victory. While he does provide the team with a veteran presence, Hayward is not viewed as a key on-court piece.
-
Cason Wallace OKC PG
Thunder's Cason Wallace: Tallies three steals in win
2h agoWallace accumulated five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and three steals across 18 minutes during Saturday's 106-85 win over the Pelicans in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Wallace continued to be a pest on the defensive end of the floor, racking up three steals in the blowout victory. Despite coming off the bench, Wallace has been an impactful player for the Thunder, often used in situations where defense is key. Game 4 will take place Monday when the Thunder will look to wrap things up against an undermanned Pelicans outfit.
-
Josh Giddey OKC PG
Thunder's Josh Giddey: Strong performance Saturday
2h agoGiddey notched 21 points (8-13 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, six assists and one steal in 31 minutes during Saturday's 106-85 victory over New Orleans in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Giddey put together his best performance of the postseason, helping guide the Thunder to a comfortable victory. He was one of three Oklahoma City players to score at least 20 points, a feat achieved by no one for the Pelicans. Now leading the series 3-0, the Thunder will look to end things in Game 4 Monday.
-
Mason Marchment DAL LW
Stars' Mason Marchment: Not playing Saturday
1m agoMarchment (undisclosed) is not expected to be in the lineup for Saturday's Game 3 versus the Golden Knights, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Marchment was injured in Wednesday's Game 2, and it appears he'll have to miss at least one game. The Stars appear set to shuffle the lineup after two losses to open the first-round series, with Jamie Benn and Logan Stankoven expected to flank Matt Duchene on the second line.
-
Jake Oettinger DAL G
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Guarding goal in Game 3
5m agoOettinger will protect the road goal in Saturday's Game 3 versus the Golden Knights, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Oettinger lost both of the first two games of the series in Dallas, allowing six goals on 40 shots. He'll get a chance to right the ship in Game 3, though the Stars' season will be in significant danger if he can't get back in the win column.
-
Jani Hakanpaa DAL D
Stars' Jani Hakanpaa: Not practicing
4h agoHakanpaa (lower body) has yet to return to practice, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports Saturday.
Hakanpaa is likely not an option for Saturday's Game 3 or Monday's Game 4 versus Vegas, and if the Stars don't win one of those games, their season is over. Hakanpaa's continued absence will keep Nils Lundkvist in the lineup on the third pairing. Hakanpaa can be considered out indefinitely until he resumes practicing with the team.
-
Haydn Fleury TB D
Lightning's Haydn Fleury: Won't play Saturday
5h agoFleury (undisclosed) isn't expected to play in Game 4 against Florida on Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Fleury had a goal, five points, 31 hits and 40 blocks in 24 regular-season outings. He hasn't been in the lineup since April 6 because of the injury. If Fleury had been available for Game 4, he might have served as the seventh defenseman or been a healthy scratch.
-
Mikhail Sergachev TB D
Lightning's Mikhail Sergachev: Surprise return Saturday
6h agoSergachev (leg) was activated off long-term injured reserve, per the NHL media site, which sets him up to return for Game 4 against Florida on Saturday.
Sergachev was previously ruled out for at least the first round, so his speedy return is a huge surprise. With Tampa Bay facing a 3-0 deficit in the series, his teammates need all the help they can get to stave off elimination. If the defenseman hadn't come back now, then it might have been too late. He had two goals, 19 points, 36 hits and 70 blocks in 34 regular-season appearances. While Sergachev typically serves in a top-four capacity, his minutes might be limited in his first contest since Feb. 7.
-
Andrei Vasilevskiy TB G
Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Starting Game 4
6h agoVasilevskiy will protect the home net Saturday versus Florida in Game 4, per Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site.
Vasilevskiy has gone 0-3 this postseason, surrendering nine goals on 94 shots (.904 save percentage). The Lightning need a victory Saturday to avoid a four-game sweep, and the team should get a boost from having Mikhail Sergachev (leg) back in the lineup.
