7h agoGallup agreed to terms on a one-year, $3 million contract with the Raiders on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
After a six-year stint in Dallas to start his career, Gallup will get a fresh start in Las Vegas. His second year with the Cowboys generated plenty of optimism, as he tallied 1,107 yards receiving to go along with six touchdowns. However, he has failed to replicate those types of numbers since. With Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers locked in as the Raiders' top pass catchers, Gallup will compete with the likes of Tre Tucker and DJ Turner, among others, for the No. 3 pass-catching role.

7h agoSamuel has a new teammate in the receiving room after the Bills took Keon Coleman out of Florida State with the first pick of the second round Friday.
Samuel, signed as a free agent in March, was never going to be a No. 1 or even a No. 2 in Buffalo, but now we at least know who's been brought in ahead of him on the depth chart. It's a mild surprise the Bills chose only one receiver with their 10 draft picks, so for now the versatile Samuel likely sits No. 3 in the pecking order behind Khalil Shakir and Coleman. That said, this is a perfect offense for Samuel's skill set, and he'll be a weapon of some sort once things get going, just not the primary receiving option.

The Giants opted not to hold on to Lemieux after the termination of his rookie contract, but he's now found another chance with the Saints. He's set to compete for a roster spot among an offensive line that underwhelmed in 2023.

8h agoArizona waived Hembrough (back) on Monday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
In a corresponding move, Arizona signed rookie free-agent long snapper Joe Shimko. Hembrough now will have to look for his next opportunity with a new team after spending his entire rookie season on the injured reserve list.

Griffin Hebert PHI WRGriffin Hebert: Gets let go
8h agoHebert was waived by the Eagles on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hebert joined Philadelphia's practice squad late last season and turned that into a reserve/future contract with the team in January. However, the Louisiana Tech product's time with the team will come to an end for now, and he'll have the chance to pursue new opportunities.

9h agoThe Falcons exercised Pitts' 2025 fifth-year option, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
It's a no-brainer move for the Falcons, even if Pitts, the No. 8 overall pick of the 2021 Draft, is coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons after going over 1,000 yards as a rookie. The hope in Atlanta is that the acquisition of Kirk Cousins coupled with the new coaching staff can help maximize Pitts' abilities. Pitts' figures to be a popular 2024 rebound candidate in both real life and fantasy football.

4m agoWaldron (1-3) was tagged with the loss against Cincinnati on Monday, allowing four runs on six hits and no walks while striking out four batters over six innings.
Waldron fell behind early on an Elly De La Cruz first-inning solo homer, and he gave up four runs across his first three frames. To his credit, the knuckleballer yielded just one hit and zero runs over his final three innings, but San Diego's offense was mostly held in check. Waldron has completed six frames in each of his past two appearances, and he's given up one run in half of his six starts on the season. However, his record sits at 1-3, and he's pitched to a mediocre 4.35 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 27:10 K:BB over 31 frames overall.

Nick Lodolo CIN SPReds' Nick Lodolo: Punches out 11 Padres in victory
10m agoLodolo (3-0) earned the win over San Diego on Monday, allowing one run on one hit and two walks while striking out 11 batters over seven innings.
Lodolo's outing got off to an inauspicious start when he gave up a home run to the first batter he faced (Jurickson Profar), but that would end up being the only hit given up by the 26-year-old hurler over seven frames. The southpaw finished with an impressive 22 whiffs and a season-high 11 punchouts, marking his second double-digit strikeout effort through four starts. Lodolo has given up one or zero runs in three of those appearances and is thriving thus far with a 1.88 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 31:6 K:BB over 24 innings.

Mitch Garver SEA DHMariners' Mitch Garver: Wins game with walk-off homer
15m agoGarver went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Monday in a 2-1 win over Atlanta.
It's been a rough season for Garver, as he's slashing just .150/.266/.313 through 94 plate appearances. However, Seattle has stuck with him as the team's primary DH, and that decision paid off Monday when he launched a two-run, ninth-inning shot to give the Mariners a come-from-behind win. Garver could be building a bit of momentum, as he's gone deep in two of his past four games.

19m agoAcuna went 1-for-4 with a pair of stolen bases Monday in a loss to the Mariners.
Acuna's wheels were key in the production of Atlanta's only run, as the star outfielder began the seventh inning by reaching on an infield single, subsequently stole both second and third base, and came around to score on an Ozzie Albies double. Acuna also struck out three times in the contest, and he's now fanned multiple times in three straight games, but fantasy managers are likely to mostly ignore that as long as he continues to run wild on the basepaths. Acuna began the campaign with just one steal through his first nine games, but he's since racked up 12 steals over his subsequent 18 contests.

Max Fried ATL SPBraves' Max Fried: Fires six hitless frames
26m agoFried pitched six scoreless and hitless innings against Seattle on Monday, walking two batters and striking out seven in a no-decision.
Fried was dominant in the outing, racking up 15 swinging strikes and allowing just two baserunners, both of whom reached via walk. However, he didn't get a chance to try to extend his no-hit bid beyond the sixth frame because he needed 100 pitches just to get that deep. Still, he was in line for the victory until A.J. Minter gave up a walk-off homer to Mitch Garver in the ninth frame. Fried began the campaign with two poor starts but has turned things around since, tossing three quality starts among his past four outings. He hasn't given up any runs across 15 frames over his past two starts.

Santana went yard once again Monday, tallying his fourth long ball in his last five games with a two-run homer off Garrett Crochet in the second inning. He's been on an absolute tear in his last five outings, batting .333 with 10 RBI. Despite the hot streak, Santana owns a poor .185/.265/.348 slash line through 102 plate appearances.

1h agoJames produced 30 points (11-21 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-7 FT), nine rebounds, 11 assists and four steals in 44 minutes during Monday's 108-106 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
James did everything in his power to extend the opening-round matchup, including playing all but four minutes of Game 5, but it wasn't enough to get the job done. The 39-year-old forward poured in 30 points in each of the last two games and consistently packed the stat sheet throughout the series, averaging 27.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.8 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.0 blocks over five appearances.

1h agoJokic produced 25 points (12-21 FG, 1-5 3Pt), 20 rebounds and nine assists across 41 minutes during Monday's 108-106 victory over the Lakers in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Jokic dominated on the boards and fell just one assist shy of a triple-double in Monday's series-clinching win. He continues to show why he's one of the most valuable big men in the league, as he averaged 28.2 points, 16.2 rebounds, 9.8 assists and 1.2 steals over five games in the opening round.

1h agoMurray posted 32 points (13-28 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, seven assists and one steal across 41 minutes during Monday's 108-106 win over the Lakers in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Murray's status heading into Monday's matchup was in doubt due to a calf injury, but he showed zero signs of discomfort, leading his squad in scoring and tacking on the game-winning bucket to send Denver to the next round. Monday marked his best scoring performance of the opening round after putting up 22 points in back-to-back showings heading into Game 5.

1h agoMarshall recorded 16 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block across 22 minutes during Monday's 97-89 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Marshall turned in an efficient shooting performance, scoring nine of his 16 points from beyond the arc. He had an inconsistent series at best, as he was held to five points in two of his team's four matchups on the way to being swept.

Anthony Davis LAL CLakers' Anthony Davis: Battles through shoulder injury
1h agoDavis suffered a left shoulder injury during the third quarter of Monday's Game 5 against the Nuggets but was able to return after visiting the locker room. He recorded 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-2 FT), 15 rebounds, four assists and two blocks across 40 minutes in the loss.
Davis suffered the injury early in the third quarter on a play during which he took contact to his left shoulder, and though he was able to remain in the contest immediately afterward, he was barely able to use his left arm. The 31-year-old exited the game with four minutes left in the third quarter and went to the locker room, later returning for the final period. The injury seemed to impact Davis on the offensive end of the court, forcing LeBron James and Austin Reaves to shoulder heavy workloads down the stretch. Davis dominated on the glass throughout the opening-round series, averaging 15.6 boards over five games.

2h agoHolmgren notched 14 points (5-12 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds and five assists across 35 minutes during Monday's 97-89 win over the Pelicans in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Holmgren couldn't get his shot working from downtown, but he was able to bounce back from a sluggish six-point showing in Game 3. The Gonzaga product averaged 15.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.8 blocks during a four-game sweep of New Orleans.

McNabb has two goals, two assists, seven shots on net, 11 hits and 14 blocked shots over four playoff outings. His strong production at both ends of the ice has earned him a steady top-four role, and it's help to make up for relatively quiet starts to the playoffs for Alex Pietrangelo and Shea Theodore. McNabb can't be expected to maintain this level of offense in the long run, but he's worth a look in DFS while he's got a hot stick.

The helper was Howden's first in four playoff outings. He's added two shots on net and 15 hits while filling a bottom-six role. Howden had 19 points, 76 shots on net, 85 hits and 51 blocked shots in 72 regular-season appearances. He can move up the lineup on occasion, but it's likely a better sign for Vegas if he sticks in the bottom six throughout the postseason.

Barbashev has an assist in three of the Golden Knights' four playoff games so far. He's added 25 hits and a plus-2 rating, offering a heavy physical game in addition to his solid offense. Barbashev continues to play alongside Jack Eichel and Jonathan Marchessault in a top-six role.

Marchessault helped out on a Jack Eichel tally in the second period. Through four playoff outings, Marchessault has two goals, two assists, 15 shots on net, 12 hits and a plus-3 rating. The reigning Conn Smythe winner continues to occupy a significant role in the Golden Knights' top six, and he's delivering with steady offense and energy.

Amadio was scratched for the first three games of the playoffs, but he drew in over Anthony Mantha in this contest. The 27-year-old Amadio was able to cash in a goal, but the rest of the Golden Knights' offense mostly struggled. He produced 14 goals, 27 points, 117 shots on net and a plus-4 rating over a career-high 73 appearances in the regular season, but there's no guarantee Amadio will remain in the lineup consistently moving forward.

18m agoEichel scored a goal on three shots and blocked two shots in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Stars in Game 4.
Eichel put the Golden Knights ahead 2-1 in the second period, but their offense stalled out there. The 27-year-old is riding an eight-game point streak, which includes three goals and three helpers over four playoff contests. The center remains a huge part of the Vegas offense and will look to get his team back on track in Wednesday's Game 5.
