Tua Tagovailoa MIA QB
Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Present for start of OTAs
2h agoTagovailoa is present for the start of OTAs on Monday, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
Tagovailoa was recently reported to have missed a notable amount of Miami's offseason work amid ongoing talks about a contract extension, but the 26-year-old quarterback is in the building to kick off the start of OTAs. It appears that both Tagovailoa and the Dolphins' organization are confident that an extension will get done prior to the start of the regular season, so unless things stall on that front there shouldn't be too many concerns about the quarterback's offseason participation. Currently, Tagovailoa is slated to play out the 2024 campaign on his fifth-year option. He played a full 17 regular-season games last year for the first time in his career, achieving new highs with 4,624 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

Mack Hollins BUF WR
Bills' Mack Hollins: More competition emerges
22h agoHollins, who was signed as a free agent by the Bills in March, has seen the receiver room fill out in the time since, with the Bills drafting Keon Coleman in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft while also adding veterans Curtis Samuel, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Chase Claypool.
For a very brief period, Hollins was a starter on the otherwise lethal Buffalo offensive depth chart, but things have changed, and it now looks as if the Bills will let several journeymen duke it out for slotting. With Buffalo being likely to feature running back James Cook and tight end Dalton Kincaid heavily in the passing game, it's difficult to envision Hollins having anything more than a depth role as a receiver that offers good size in the red zone, though it should be noted that he's never caught more than four touchdowns in an NFL season.

Tank Dell HOU WR
Texans' Tank Dell: Engages in workout Saturday
2d agoDell (leg) ran and performed drills Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Dell is recovering from what has been described as a "clean flesh wound" to his left leg sustained as an innocent bystander in a shooting in Florida in late April. The wideout's workout Saturday suggests that he's progressing well and confirms previous reports that the wound was minor. Given his activity Saturday, there appears to be a chance that Dell will participate in the Texans' OTAs, which begin Monday.

Chukwuebuka Godrick KC OT
Chiefs' Chukwuebuka Godrick: Arrested on misdemeanor charge
3d agoGodrick and teammate Wanya Morris were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Godrick and Morris were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Godrick is expected to compete for a roster spot in 2024 after spending his rookie year on Kansas City's practice squad in 2023. It's unclear whether Godrick will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

Wanya Morris KC OT
Chiefs' Wanya Morris: Arrested for misdemeanor possession
3d agoMorris and teammate Chukwuebuka Godrick were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Morris and Godrick were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Morris is expected to compete for the starting left tackle spot for the Chiefs in 2024. It's unclear whether Morris will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

Lamical Perine KC RB
La'Mical Perine: Waived by KC
3d agoPerine was waived by the Chiefs on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Kansas City is parting ways with Perine after he rushed for 77 yards on 22 carries while adding three catches for 33 yards in 2023. The 2020 fourth-round draft pick of the Jets spent his first two seasons in New York. Perine will look to latch on with another team prior to training camp.

Kyle Freeland COL SP
Rockies' Kyle Freeland: Still limited to playing catch
1h agoFreeland (elbow) threw from about 50 feet on Sunday, MLB.com reports.
Freeland has been able to play catch for around the last 10 days, and he threw his fastball with a regular pitching motion Sunday. He still doesn't have a date to return throwing from a mound and will need to progress to bullpens and live batting practice sessions before engaging in a rehab assignment. The Rockies have projected Freeland will return in mid-June, though his current pace in recovery suggests that's an optimistic timeline.

Jonathan Singleton HOU 1B
Astros' Jon Singleton: Productive across weekend series
1h agoSingleton went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a walk Sunday against the Brewers.
Singleton enjoyed a productive weekend series against the Brewers, collecting five hits across 12 at-bats while scoring a run and driving in two. He's started 18 of the last 19 games since the demotion of Jose Abreu and has hit .230 with a .342 OBP to go along with four homers, 12 RBI and 13 runs scored. Abreu could rejoin the team within the week, but Singleton has made the case to maintain playing time with his production across May.

Logan Gillaspie SD RP
Padres' Logan Gillaspie: Serving as 27th man Monday
1h agoThe Padres recalled Gillaspie from Triple-A El Paso on Monday.
He will serve as the 27th man for Monday's doubleheader in Atlanta. Gillaspie, 27, struck out the only two batters he faced in his lone appearance with the big club earlier this season.

Matt Manning DET SP
Tigers' Matt Manning: Allows 10 hits Sunday
1h agoManning allowed four runs on 10 hits and three walks over five innings Sunday against the Diamondbacks. He struck out one and did not factor into the decision.
Manning surrendered a pair of runs in the opening frame and then allowed single runs in the second and fourth. He allowed at least one base runner in every inning and managed just four whiffs on 86 pitches, leading to a season-low one strikeout. Over two starts while filling in for Kenta Maeda (illness), Manning's allowed seven runs on 19 hits while posting a 6:4 K:BB in 10.2 innings. He was unable to take advantage of the opportunity and figures to be optioned back to Triple-A Toledo this week with Maeda set to return May 24.

Andres Gimenez CLE 2B
Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Belts two-run shot
1h agoGimenez went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's win over Minnesota.
Gimenez went deep for a two-run blast in the first inning. He's hit three home runs over his last 18 games after beginning the year in a 26-game drought. Gimenez has gone 12-for-24 over his last six games, boosting his slash line to .277/.337/.387 with 12 extra-base hits and seven steals. He's hitting .300 with a .795 OPS and a 6:8 BB:K over his last 20 appearances.
-
Jose Altuve HOU 2B
Astros' Jose Altuve: Pops first homer of May
1h agoAltuve went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored Sunday against the Brewers.
Altuve led off the bottom of the first inning with a home run, his eighth of the season and first since April 28. He's hit a moderate slump in May, as he's hitting .243 with six RBI and nine runs scored across 17 games, though he has chipped in three stolen bases. Altuve has maintained a .854 OPS across the first 207 plate appearances of the campaign so there's little reason for concern for his slightly slower stretch of production.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope DEN SG
Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Poor offensive showing Sunday
4h agoCaldwell-Pope racked up five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Caldwell-Pope scored single digits for the sixth time in the past eight games, highlighting the Nuggets' struggles when it comes to depth on the offensive end. While he continues to play a key role for Denver, his lack of production cannot be ignored when it comes to fantasy value. Looking ahead to next season, there is no reason to think he will be anything more than a situational streamer, utilized for steals and threes.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Scores game-high 35 points
4h agoMurray provided 35 points (13-27 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and three assists over 43 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to Minnesota in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Murray did everything he could to get the Nuggets over the line but ultimately came up short. He and Nikola Jokic scored 69 of the Nuggets 90 points, highlighting just how unimpactful their bench was. While it was a disappointing end for Murray, his production this year was right in line with what fantasy managers expected coming into the season. Given they will likely be contending again next season, there is no reason to think anything changes moving forward.
-
Michael Porter Jr. DEN SF
Nuggets' Michael Porter: Goes cold in Game 7 loss
4h agoPorter posted seven points (3-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt), nine rebounds and two blocks across 34 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Porter went just 1-of-6 from the three-point line, continuing what had been a rough series. In fact, over the seven-game span, Porter scored fewer than 10 points on five occasions. It was an unfortunate end for Porter after he managed to put together a strong season. Projecting forward, Porter should be able to maintain mid-round value in most fantasy formats.
-
Jaden McDaniels MIN SF
Timberwolves' Jaden McDaniels: Scores team-high 23 points
4h agoMcDaniels racked up 23 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals across 40 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 victory over the Nuggets in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
McDaniels scored 20-plus points for the second straight game, helping the Timberwolves to an impressive victory in Game 7. Although his offensive output can be inconsistent, he has been a little more reliable during the postseason. Coming up against the Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals, McDaniels is going to have to maintain his offensive mindset to contend with the likes of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
-
Naz Reid MIN C
Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Plays key role late in victory
5h agoReid closed with 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 22 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 win over the Nuggets in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Reid played additional minutes down the stretch with Karl-Anthony Towns in foul trouble. As usual, Reid delivered on the offensive end but also tallied a couple of key blocks. He should once again play a pivotal role off the bench for Minnesota against the high-flying Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.
-
Rudy Gobert MIN C
Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Delivers clutch performance
5h agoGobert totaled 13 points (3-7 FG, 7-9 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 36 minutes before fouling out of Sunday's 98-90 win over the Nuggets in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Despite scoring only 13 points, Gobert connected on several key baskets down the stretch. This included a turnaround jumper as the shot clock expired, impressing even his own teammates. With the win, the Timberwolves advance to their first Western Conference Finals appearance in 20 years. Gobert will once again be a force on the defensive end of the floor, tasked with limiting both Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively.
-
Brett Seney CHI LW
Blackhawks' Brett Seney: Inks one-year extension
11m agoSeney signed a one-year, two-way contract with Chicago on Monday.
Seney supplied 23 goals and 63 points in 68 contests with AHL Rockford during the 2023-24 regular season. The 28-year-old forward has one goal in 11 NHL outings with the Blackhawks over the past two campaigns.
-
Arturs Silovs VAN G
Canucks' Arturs Silovs: In goal Monday
23m agoSilovs will get the starting nod at home for Game 7 against Edmonton on Monday, Sportsnet reports.
Silovs underwhelmed in Game 6, allowing five goals on 27 shots (.815 save percentage). Overall, the 23-year-old netminder is 3-3 with a 3.47 GAA through the first six games of the series while conceding three or more goals in all but one of those contests.
-
Dmitry Ovchinnikov MIN C
Wild's Dmitry Ovchinnikov: Inks KHL deal
27m agoOvchinnikov agreed to terms on a one-year contract with KHL club Sibir Novosibirsk on Monday, Kyle Cushman of The Score reports.
Ovchinnikov was traded to the Wild from the Maple Leafs at the deadline but stayed with AHL Toronto, which was a fairly good indication Minnesota wasn't interested in adding the 21-year-old center to the NHL roster any time soon. With the Marlies this year, Ovchinnikov notched seven goals and three assists in 21 contests.
-
Tony DeAngelo CAR D
Hurricanes' Tony DeAngelo: Set for offseason procedure
45m agoDeAngelo will require offseason hand surgery, according to Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal.
DeAngelo is eligible for unrestricted free agency in July after completing a one-year, $1.675 million contract with the Hurricanes. The 28-year-old blueliner generated three goals, 11 points, 44 shots on net and 18 blocked shots in 31 regular-season appearances during the 2023-24 campaign. DeAngelo also contributed two assists, 16 shots on goal, seven blocked shots and eight hits across nine playoff outings in 2024.
-
Danton Heinen BOS C
Bruins' Danton Heinen: Manages just one postseason point
2h agoHeinen struggled in the playoffs, generating a lone helper in eight games, after reaching the 30-point threshold in the regular season.
Heinen was back with the Bruins after last playing for the organization during the 2019-20 campaign. Despite limited power-play opportunities, the 28-year-old winger still reached the 35-point mark for the third time in his career. Looking ahead to next season, Heinen will hit the open market July 1 and could land elsewhere.
-
Adam Henrique EDM C
Oilers' Adam Henrique: Not playing Monday
15h agoHenrique (ankle) will not suit up for Game 7 against Vancouver on Monday, Ryan Rishaug of TSN reports.
Henrique will miss his fifth straight contest Monday, and he dressed in just one game this series. The veteran forward scored two points in Game 1 against the Kings during the first round but has not scored a point in five straight appearances. His status for the next round -- if Edmonton wins Game 7 against the Canucks -- is unclear at this time.
