Lucas Havrisik CLE K
Lucas Havrisik: Loses spot
1h agoHavrisik was waived by the Browns on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Havrisik signed a reserve/future contract with Cleveland in January after the Rams waived him. He was expected to at least have the opportunity to compete with Dustin Hopkins (hamstring) and Cade York for the team's kicker job in 2024, but instead, he'll become a free agent once again.
-
Corey Luciano SF C
Corey Luciano: Cut loose from team
1h agoLuciano was waived by the 49ers on Tuesday, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.
Luciano was set to get a second opportunity with the 49ers after appearing in two games with the franchise last season. However, he'll now hit the open market again, to make room for swing tackle Chris Hubbard, and to keep San Francisco under the 90-man roster limit.

Jahmyr Gibbs DET RB
Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs: To see more touches in 2024
1h agoAppearing on The Rich Eisen Show on Monday, Lions GM Brad Holmes said he "definitely would expect" Gibbs to "see more of the load" out of the backfield in 2024.
Holmes added that he thinks Gibbs will also be even more involved in the passing game in his second season. Only seven running backs saw more targets than Gibbs' 71 in 2023, and his 52 catches were tied for the ninth-most at the position. Backfield mate David Montgomery out-carried Gibbs 219 to 182, but Gibbs had a commanding edge in the pass game with 47 more targets than the veteran. There's reason to believe Gibbs' touches will rise in 2024, but Montgomery isn't going away. This backfield will remain a one-two punch, and Montgomery is the favorite for carries when the Lions are trying to kill the clock when they have a lead. Gibbs' fantasy ceiling remains extremely high due to the overall explosive nature of Detroit's offense.

Earnest Brown IV SF DE
49ers' Earnest Brown: Gets let go
1h agoBrown was waived by the 49ers on Tuesday, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.
Brown headed to San Francisco in February after appearing in 12 games over two seasons with the Rams. The Northwestern product will depart the team, along with center Corey Luciano, to make room for recent additions, Chris Hubbard and Shakel Brown to keep the 49ers under the current 90-man roster limit.
-
Chris Hubbard TEN OT
49ers' Chris Hubbard: Lands in San Francisco
4h agoThe 49ers signed Hubbard (biceps) to a one-year, $1.38 million contract Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Hubbard fills a need for San Francisco as a depth swing tackle. The veteran's 2023 campaign came to an early end Week 11 due to a biceps injury, from which he's now presumably recovered.

Jase McClellan ATL RB
Falcons' Jase McClellan: Still dealing with foot issue
5h agoCoach Raheem Morris said Tuesday that McClellan (foot) will sit out practice due to injury, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Morris said the rookie sixth-round pick as well as Bijan Robinson (ankle), who is also tending to an injury, are both expected to be available for mandatory minicamp, as reported by D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. It appears that McClellan is still not fully recovered from the foot injury that kept him from working out at either the NFL Combine or Alabama's Pro Day, but the Falcons expect him to be ready for practice sooner rather than later. He will need all the reps he can get to have any chance of carving out a notable role behind both Robinson and Tyler Allgeier.

Kyle Bradish BAL SP
Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Tuesday's game postponed
1m agoBradish and the Orioles won't play against the Blue Jays on Tuesday since the game was postponed due to inclement weather.
The contest will be made up via a traditional doubleheader July 29. Bradish will simply have his start pushed back a day and will pitch in Wednesday's series finale versus Toronto, per Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com.
-
Josh Fleming PIT RP
Pirates' Josh Fleming: Designated for assignment
3m agoThe Pirates designated Fleming for assignment Tuesday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Fleming was torched for six runs (five earned) during Monday's win over the Brewers, causing his ERA to skyrocket from 3.50 to 5.68 on the season. Although his most recent outing was rough, his solid start to the season may still attract interest from other teams in need of bullpen depth.
-
Mickey Moniak LAA CF
Angels' Mickey Moniak: Resting Tuesday
12m agoMoniak isn't in the Angels' lineup for Tuesday's game against St. Louis, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Moniak will sit for the second consecutive game after going just 1-for-12 across his last four contests. He'll be replaced in center field by Kevin Pillar, who will bat fifth.
-
Evan Carter TEX LF
Rangers' Evan Carter: Could return Friday
13m agoCarter (back) received a cortisone injection and is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Guardians, and he could rejoin the lineup Friday versus the Angels, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning Newsreports.
The 21-year-old hasn't seen the field since Saturday and was diagnosed with lower-back inflammation after an MRI on Monday. He'll now be unavailable for at least a couple more days following the injection. Ezequiel Duran is receiving another start in left field Tuesday.
-
Danny Jansen TOR C
Blue Jays' Danny Jansen: Good to go Tuesday
14m agoJansen (back) is starting behind the plate and batting fifth Tuesdya against the Orioles.
Jansen sat out Monday for the second straight game due to back spasms but is ready to play Tuesday. The fact the 29-year-old is immediately returning to work behind the plate indicates the injury wasn't a serious concern. Jansen has carried a hot bat through nine games in May with a 1.101 OPS in 28 at-bats.
-
Zachary Neto LAA SS
Angels' Zach Neto: Sitting Tuesday
16m agoNeto isn't in the Angels' lineup Tuesday against the Cardinals, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Neto will get a rare day off after going 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored during Monday's series opener. Luis Guillorme will fill in at shortstop while Kyren Paris mans the keystone.
-
Caris LeVert CLE SG
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Questionable for Wednesday
2m agoLeVert (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics.
LeVert started in place of Donovan Mitchell (calf) on Monday night, posting a respectable stat line across 39 minutes, despite the loss. With the Cavaliers hoping to roar back from a 3-1 deficit, the questionable tag is likely just a precaution as LeVert deals with a lingering knee injury.
-
Jarrett Allen CLE C
Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Questionable for Game 5
8m agoAllen (ribs) is questionable for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics.
Allen has missed the last seven games with a right rib contusion, but with the Cavaliers on the brink of elimination, they will hope to bring the big man back. If Allen is out, Evan Mobley will likely continue to start at center, with Isaac Okoro slotting in at power forward.
-
Ty Jerome CLE SG
Cavaliers' Ty Jerome: Another absence coming
9m agoJerome (ankle) is out for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics.
Jerome hasn't played since Oct. 27 while recovering from right ankle surgery. There is no indication that Jerome is nearing a return to action.
-
Craig Porter Jr. CLE PG
Cavaliers' Craig Porter: Unlikely to play Wednesday
12m agoPorter (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics.
Porter is expected to miss his 12 straight game Wednesday due to a left ankle sprain. While Porter's upgraded status suggests he's nearing a return, Cleveland being down 3-1 to Boston could mean the series will be over before the rookie guard can suit up again.
-
Donovan Mitchell CLE SG
Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Iffy for Game 5
15m agoMitchell (calf) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics.
Mitchell is in danger of missing his second straight contest due to a left calf strain he suffered in Game 3. Caris LeVert started in Mitchell's absence Monday and played well but aggravated a lingering knee injury and is also questionable for Game 5.
-
Mike Conley MIN PG
Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Late addition to injury report
4h agoConley is questionable for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Nuggets due to right Achilles soreness.
Conley is a late addition to Minnesota's injury report but was active during the morning shootaround, per Dane Moore of 'The Dane Moore NBA Podcast'. The veteran point guard has averaged 11.9 points, 6.4 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 31.2 minutes during the postseason, so his potential absence would be a big blow in a critical road matchup. If Conley is downgraded to out, Monte Morris, Jordan McLaughlin and Nickeil Alexander-Walker would be candidates for increased playing time.
-
Roope Hintz DAL LW
Stars' Roope Hintz: Undergoing testing
3h agoHintz (upper body) is still being evaluated ahead of Wednesday's Game 5 matchup against Colorado, according to Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News.
Hintz didn't return to Monday's 5-1 win over the Avalanche in Game 4 after blocking a shot late in the first period. He has generated two goals, four assists, 13 shots on net and 15 hits in 11 outings this postseason. If Hintz isn't available to play in Game 5, Radek Faksa or Ty Dellandrea could suit up in Wednesday's contest versus Colorado.
-
Phillip Di Giuseppe VAN LW
Canucks' Phil Di Giuseppe: Not playing in Game 4
4h agoDi Giuseppe (personal) won't play Tuesday in Game 4 versus Edmonton, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Di Giuseppe, who will miss his second straight contest, is expected to rejoin the team at Wednesday's practice. He has registered one assist, two shots on goal and 26 hits in eight outings this postseason. Once he is available to return, Di Giuseppe may replace Linus Karlsson or Nils Aman in the lineup.
-
Devon Toews COL D
Avalanche's Devon Toews: Traveling with team
4h agoToews (illness) will make the trip to Dallas ahead of Wednesday's must-win Game 5 versus the Stars, Evan Rawal of Colorado Hockey Now reports.
Toews missed Monday's Game 4 due to an illness, but he's reportedly feeling better Tuesday, making it seem likely he'll return for Wednesday's must-win contest. The 30-year-old defender has collected one goal and six points through eight games this postseason.
-
Arturs Silovs VAN G
Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Making seventh straight start
4h agoSilovs will patrol the road crease versus Edmonton in Game 5 on Tuesday, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Silovs was excellent in Game 4 on Sunday, turning aside 42 of a whopping 45 shots en route to a 4-3 victory. The Oilers appear set to split stars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl between two lines Tuesday, so while Edmonton's first line won't be quite as intimidating, Silovs will presumably face a more balanced attack from the team in Game 5.
-
Adam Henrique EDM C
Oilers' Adam Henrique: Won't play Tuesday
4h agoHenrique (ankle) won't play Tuesday in Game 4 against the Canucks, per Tony Brar of Oilers TV.
Henrique will miss his second straight contest. He has picked up one goal, one assist, four shots on net and 22 hits in six outings this postseason. The 34-year-old forward had 24 goals and 51 points in 82 appearances between the Oilers and Ducks during the 2023-24 regular season.
-
Chris Kreider NYR LW
Rangers' Chris Kreider: Minus-3 in loss
5h agoKreider was on the ice for three goals against in Monday's 4-1 loss to Carolina in Game 5.
It was a forgettable night for Kreider as he failed to register a point and went minus-3 in the contest. No other player on New York was on the ice for more than two goals against in Monday's loss. After starting the postseason with points in six of seven games, Kreider has now failed to find the scoresheet in consecutive games. The 33-year-old did have two shots on goal and four hits in 18:51 of ice time. Kreider and the Rangers will have another chance to eliminate the Hurricanes in Game 6 on Thursday.
