Vederian Lowe NE OT
Patriots' Vederian Lowe: Participating at OTAs
2m agoLowe (head) practiced Tuesday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Lowe exited New England's season finale against the Jets due to a head injury, but the third-year pro appears to have put the injury in the rearview mirror. A sixth-round selection in 2022, Lowe saw reps ahead of 2024 third-round selection, Caedan Wallace.

Isaiah Bolden NE CB
Patriots' Isaiah Bolden: Will be competing for depth role
9m agoBolden (concussion) will take part in OTAs this week, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Bolden missed the entirety of his rookie season due to a concussion that placed him on IR. The Jackson State product is now healthy though, and will be competing against several other names for a roster spot behind Christian Gonzalez, Jonathan Jones and Marcus Jones at cornerback.
-
David Bakhtiari GB OT
David Bakhtiari: On schedule for return
15m agoBakhtiari (knee) had a positive follow-up exam with expert Dr. Brian Cole, and Cole proclaimed him on schedule for a 2024 season return, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Bakhtiari was released by the Packers in March, but previously stated he had every intention of suiting up somewhere for the 2024 campaign, as long as he was healthy enough to do so. The two-time first-team All-Pro tackle likely will be able to garner interest from multiple NFL teams once he can start working out for them.
-
Tucker Kraft GB TE
Packers' Tucker Kraft: Out until training camp
1h agoCoach Matt LaFleur said Tuesday that Kraft (pectoral) will be sidelined until at least the start training camp, Zach Kruse of USA Today reports.
LaFleur said Kraft and offensive lineman Zach Tom (pectoral) will both be out until at least the start of training camp, if not longer. The nature of Kraft's injury hasn't yet been disclosed, but he was spotted with his arm in a sling Tuesday and didn't practice. As a rookie, the 2023 third-round pick stepped up nicely in the wake of an injury to Luke Musgrave, also a 2023 draftee. He figures to handle a complementary role in Green Bay's tight end room when healthy.

Alijah Vera-Tucker NYJ OG
Jets' Alijah Vera-Tucker: Still not ready
1h agoVera-Tucker (Achilles) hasn't been cleared for football activity yet, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Vera-Tucker suffered a torn Achilles tendon Oct. 8 against the Broncos and remains in the process of recovery. The veteran offensive lineman is still expected to be ready for training camp, barring any setbacks, and is fully expected to be the Jets' starter at right guard in 2024.
-
Trey Pipkins LAC OT
Chargers' Trey Pipkins: Gets back on field
1h agoPipkins (knee) participated during OTAs on Monday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Pipkins left the team's season finale against the Chiefs due to a knee injury, but apparently, it was not too serious, as the Sioux Falls product is taking part in practice. The 27-year-old saw work at right tackle and also slid inside to guard Monday, while the Chargers got a look at first-round selection Joe Alt at right tackle.
-
Royce Lewis MIN 3B
Twins' Royce Lewis: Running bases
3m agoLewis (quadriceps) ran the bases Monday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
After starting with some light running last week, Lewis was able to run the bases for the first time Monday as he continues to rehab from a right quad strain. It's expected that Lewis will need a rehab assignment before returning, which could push his timetable for return into early June.
-
Austin Riley ATL 3B
Braves' Austin Riley: Remains out of lineup
6m agoRiley (intercostal) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Cubs.
Riley hasn't played since May 12 because of left intercostal inflammation. Atlanta has resisted putting their third baseman on the 10-day injured list so far and at this point it would appear they will continue to wait things out. Zack Short will again be at the hot corner Tuesday.
-
Mickey Moniak LAA CF
Angels' Mickey Moniak: Taking seat Tuesday
9m agoMoniak is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Astros.
Moniak will be on the bench Tuesday against righty Cristian Javier, despite having the advantage as a left-handed hitter. Instead, Kevin Pillar will play center field and bat fifth.
-
Jorbit Vivas NYY 2B
Yankees' Jorbit Vivas: Rehabbing at High-A
10m agoThe Yankees transferred Vivas' (undisclosed) rehab assignment Tuesday from Single-A Tampa to High-A Hudson Valley.
Vivas remains on Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's 7-day injured list with an unspecified injury, which has prevented him from playing with the affiliate since April 24. The infielder appears to be closing in on a return to the Triple-A club, however, after going 1-for-11 with three walks and a stolen base across his four rehab appearances with Tampa last week.
-
Nico Hoerner CHC 2B
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Returns to lineup Tuesday
12m agoHoerner (hamstring) will start at second base and bat sixth in Tuesday's game versus Atlanta.
Hoerner hasn't played in more than a week due to a left hamstring injury, but he's finally feeling well enough to give it a go Tuesday. Dansby Swanson is also back from an injured list stint, so the Cubs will have their middle infield duo back together for the first time since May 7.
-
Elieser Hernandez LAD RP
Dodgers' Elieser Hernandez: Works in relief Monday
14m agoHernandez gave up two earned runs on two hits over an inning of relief in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
After being called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City last Wednesday, Hernandez ended up starting in the Dodgers' series finale in San Francisco, covering six innings while giving up three earned runs in a losing effort. With an off day coming up Thursday, the Dodgers weren't in need of an additional starter this week, so Hernandez shifted to the bullpen. He'll likely work mostly in lower-leverage spots while he remains up with the Dodgers.

Xavier Tillman BOS C
Celtics' Xavier Tillman: Won't be available for Game 1
2h agoTillman (personal) has been ruled out for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers on Tuesday.
Tillman will join Kristaps Porzingis (calf) as unavailable, but the former's absence shouldn't impact Boston's rotation, as he's appeared in just three of Boston's first 10 postseason contests. Al Horford and Luke Kornet should continue to handle all meaningful minutes at center in Game 1.
-
Xavier Tillman BOS C
Celtics' Xavier Tillman: Questionable for Game 1
23h agoTillman is questionable for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Pacers due to personal reasons, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
Tillman hasn't been a consistent part of the rotation during the playoffs, appearing in just three matchups and averaging 1.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game. While it's unclear whether he'll be available to begin the Eastern Conference Finals, his status shouldn't significantly impact the rotation.
-
Kristaps Porzingis BOS C
Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Remains out for Game 1 of ECF
1d agoPorzingis (calf) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals versus the Pacers.
As expected, Porzingis will remain sidelined to start the Eastern Conference Finals due to a right calf strain he suffered in Boston's opening-round series versus Miami. The Latvian big man didn't practice Monday, so it doesn't appear he's close to game action. However, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported Friday that Boston is optimistic that Porzingis could return at some point during the series versus Indiana.
-
Kristaps Porzingis BOS C
Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Doesn't practice Monday
1d agoPorzingis (calf) didn't participate in Monday's practice session, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
Porzingis sustained a calf injury during the first round of the playoffs and isn't expected to be available for the start of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers. His absence from practice reflects that pessimism, while Al Horford and Luke Kornet should continue to see an uptick in playing time during Tuesday's Game 1.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope DEN SG
Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Poor offensive showing Sunday
1d agoCaldwell-Pope racked up five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Caldwell-Pope scored single digits for the sixth time in the past eight games, highlighting the Nuggets' struggles when it comes to depth on the offensive end. While he continues to play a key role for Denver, his lack of production cannot be ignored when it comes to fantasy value. Looking ahead to next season, there is no reason to think he will be anything more than a situational streamer, utilized for steals and threes.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Scores game-high 35 points
1d agoMurray provided 35 points (13-27 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and three assists over 43 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to Minnesota in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Murray did everything he could to get the Nuggets over the line but ultimately came up short. He and Nikola Jokic scored 69 of the Nuggets' 90 points, highlighting just how unimpactful their bench was. While it was a disappointing end for Murray, his production this year aligned with what fantasy managers expected coming into the season. Given they will likely be contending again next season, there is no reason to think anything changes from a fantasy perspective in 2024-25.
-
Johnny Gruden PIT C
Penguins' Johnny Gruden: Signs two-year deal
8m agoGruden penned a two-year, $1.55 million contract with the Penguins on Tuesday.
Gruden played in just 13 games at the NHL level this season in which he generated one goal on nine shots, 35 hits and five blocks while averaging 8:40 of ice time. At this point, the youngster will be hard-pressed to break into the 23-man roster full-time next season but should see his fair share of call-ups throughout the campaign.
-
Jack St. Ivany PIT D
Penguins' Jack St. Ivany: Grabs three-year deal
17m agoSt. Ivany agreed to terms on a three-year, $2.325 million contract with Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
St. Ivany managed just one point in his 14 NHL appearances this season while averaging 13:42 of ice time. The 24-year-old blueliner is likely a long shot to make the 23-man roster for Opening Night this fall but should be atop the list of potential call-ups throughout the year.
-
Martin Pospisil CGY C
Flames' Martin Pospisil: Injured at World Championship
1h agoPospisil suffered an apparent upper-body injury in Slovakia's matchup with Sweden on Monday, Claire Hanna of TSN reports.
Pospisil has been lighting it up at the international tournament with three goals and four assists. In his rookie campaign, the 24-year-old center notched eight goals and 16 helpers despite not having a significant role with the man advantage. Barring a long-term injury, Pospisil should be capable of improving on those numbers in his sophomore campaign.
-
Ryan McDonagh NSH D
Lightning's Ryan McDonagh: Returning to Bolts
4h agoMcDonagh was traded to the Lightning from the Predators along with a 2024 fourth-round pick in exchange for a 2025 second-round selection and 2024 seventh-round pick.
McDonagh spent five seasons with the Lightning during his previous stint, logging 267 regular-season games for the club while lifting Lord Stanley's Cup twice during his stay. McDonagh figures to slot into a third pairing for the Lightning. With the acquisition of McDonagh, Tampa Bay is unlikely to re-sign Matt Dumba or Calvin de Haan.
-
Ryan Lindgren NYR D
Rangers' Ryan Lindgren: Missing from practice again
5h agoLindgren was absent for his third straight day due to maintenance issues, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports Tuesday.
At this point, Lindgren's absences are becoming a concern regarding his availability for Game 1 against the Panthers on Wednesday. If the blueliner does miss any contests, it will likely result in increased ice time for Erik Gustafsson in addition to seeing Zac Jones enter the lineup for the first time since April 7 versus the Habs.
-
Trent Miner COL G
Avalanche's Trent Miner: Inks one-year contract
5h agoMiner signed a one-year contract extension with the Avalanche on Tuesday.
Miner spent his time in the AHL and ECHL this season. He recorded an impressive .930 save percentage through 18 appearances during his time in the AHL as well as a .917 save percentage through 11 ECHL appearances. Alexandar Georgiev and Justus Annunen are both under contract through 2024-25, so Miner will likely spend most, if not all, of next season in the minors.
