Hebert joined Philadelphia's practice squad late last season and turned that into a reserve/future contract with the team in January. However, the Lousiana Product's time with the team will come to an end for now, and he'll have the chance to pursue new opportunities.

It's a no-brainer move for the Falcons, even if Pitts, the No. 8 overall pick of the 2021 Draft, is coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons after going over 1,000 yards as a rookie. The hope in Atlanta is that the acquisition of Kirk Cousins coupled with the new coaching staff can help maximize Pitts' abilities. Pitts' figures to be a popular 2024 rebound candidate in both real life and fantasy football.

The Bengals didn't select a single running back across 10 picks in this year's draft, so even if the team brings in a handful of talented UDFAs, Brown looks like a notable winner for fantasy purposes. He flashed across 12 appearances as a rookie last season, and while Moss' experience with a large workload and on third downs may make him the favorite for the No. 1 role, Brown's short-area burst could make him an effective complementary option. If Brown can put together a solid offseason and push for increased touches, he could be an interesting late-round sleeper in 2024 drafts.

Moss inked with Cincinnati as a free agent back in March, and though the team will certainly add some UDFAs to the mix, he has to be considered a huge winner for fantasy after the Bengals opted not to spend a single draft pick on the running back position. Coming off a breakout season with the Colts, Moss looks primed for a high-volume role considering his experience between the tackles and on third downs, while Chase Brown could act as a more explosive complement out of the backfield. Both could be intriguing fantasy sleepers in 2024 drafts.

1h agoSanders faces competition from rookie second-round pick Jonathon Brooks (knee) for backfield work during the 2024 season, Joseph Person of The Athletic reports.
Sanders was overtaken by Chuba Hubbard down the stretch of the 2023 season, in which he logged a career-low 129 carries for 432 yards (3.3 YPC) and one touchdown, so the arrival of Brooks could impact his opportunities. First-year coach Dave Canales said the Panthers plan to deploy all three backs, and Brooks is working his way back from an ACL tear, so Sanders' primary competition for touches could be Hubbard to begin the year. It's easy to imagine a scenario, though, where Brooks earns himself a more solidified role atop the depth chart once he's fully healthy.

McDermott started five games at left tackle for the Patriots in 2023, but after adding Chukwuma Okorafor in free agency, New England has opted to let go of McDermott, who is presumably past the injury that landed him on IR late last season, given that he was let go without an injury designation. He'll now have to look for another opportunity with a new team.

Trevino had a big game in New York's 15-5 rout of the Brewers on Sunday, going 2-for-4 with a run and three RBI. However, he's ceding the start behind the plate to Austin Wells on Monday. Trevino has put up far better offensive numbers this season, but Wells continues to get slightly more playing time -- over New York's past eight games, Wells has started behind the plate on five occasions while Trevino has gotten three starts.

3m agoTwins manager Rocco Baldelli said Monday that Duran (oblique) will likely be activated from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Duran has rejoined the Twins in Chicago following two rehab appearances, and while he will not be activated prior to Monday's series opener versus the White Sox, it sounds like he'll be available Tuesday. Baldelli did not say whether Duran would immediately regain his closer job or be eased back in, but fantasy managers should probably go ahead and activate the hard thrower for this week.

3m agoFollowing Sunday's loss to the Twins, the Angels optioned Kristofak to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Kristofak closed out the last two innings of Sunday's game, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out two batters. The right-hander will head back down to Triple-A, where he has appeared in six games and has posted a 3.38 ERA and 1.32 WHIP over 18.2 frames. The move corresponds with right-hander Davis Daniel being recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday.

Anthony Volpe NYY SSYankees' Anthony Volpe: Snaps slump Sunday
12m agoVolpe went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, an additional run scored, a stolen base and two walks in Sunday's 15-5 rout over Milwaukee.
After a scorching start to the season, Volpe had fallen back a bit in the second half of April, as he came into Sunday batting .157 with no homers and a 30.9 percent strikeout rate over 12 games since April 15. He turned things around -- at least temporarily -- by reaching four times against Milwaukee on Sunday, with his fifth-inning three-run homer opening the floodgates for a Yankees offensive outburst late in the contest. Despite his recent slump, Volpe still has strong overall numbers on the campaign -- he's slashing .282/.368/.418 with three home runs, 13 RBI, 20 runs and seven stolen bases through 126 plate appearances.

Hicks has had a rough start to the season, slashing .140/.222/.193 with one home run and five RBI. Over his last seven appearances, Hicks has gone 1-for-19 with two runs, one RBI, two walks and eight strikeouts. In a corresponding move, the Angels selected the contract of Cole Tucker.

Daniel was optioned to Triple-A during spring training. He's started in five games with Salt Lake, going 0-3 while recording a 6.08 ERA, 1.81 WHIP and 26:8 K:BB over 23.2 innings. To make room for Daniel, the Angels optioned right-hander Zac Kristofak to Triple-A Salt Lake following Sunday's loss to the Twins.

Robinson sprained his surgically repaired left ankle during New York's Game 3 loss last Thursday and was sidelined for Sunday's win. If Robinson is ruled out again, Precious Achiuwa would likely see increased minutes, but coach Tom Thibodeau also deployed OG Anunoby as the small-ball center to guard Joel Embiid for long stretches in Game 4.

Bogdanovic has been playing through ligament damage in his left wrist during the opening-round series, but he suffered a left foot contusion in his first stint on the court during New York's Game 4 win and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest. In Bogdanovic's absence, Miles McBride and Precious Achiuwa are candidates for a few extra minutes.

Embiid has averaged 35.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks in 40.3 minutes over the first four games of the opening-round series. However, the reigning MVP, who missed two months during the regular season after undergoing meniscus surgery, continues to be listed as questionable and has struggled in every fourth quarter thus far. With the 76ers facing elimination in New York on Tuesday, it'd be shocking if Embiid didn't suit up.

4m agoGibson was loaned to AHL Hershey on Monday.
Gibson spent most of the 2023-24 regular season with ECHL Carolina, posting a 22-14-6 record with a 2.56 GAA and an .899 save percentage in 42 appearances. He also went 2-0-0 in two AHL outings, surrendering four goals on 47 shots. Gibson will probably serve as a depth option during Hershey's AHL playoff run.

McIlrath suited up in all four games of Washington's first-round series defeat against the Rangers, posting four blocked shots, seven hits and 10 PIM. He will get to play for the Bears in the AHL playoffs after contributing nine points and 100 PIM in 58 minor-league appearances during the 2023-24 regular season.

The 21-year-old defender had four goals and 14 points in 60 minor-league appearances during the 2023-24 regular season.

Hendrix Lapierre WAS CCapitals' Hendrix Lapierre: Returned to minors
45m agoLapierre was reassigned to AHL Hershey on Monday.
Lapierre scored just once in his last 19 outings while chipping in eight helpers and 20 shots on goal. The 22-year-old center played in 51 regular-season contests for the Capitals this year and should be a full-time NHL option heading into the 2024-25 campaign. With a full 82-game season, Lapierre is certainly capable of pushing for both the 20-goal and 40-point thresholds.
