Michael Wilson ARI WR
Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Outlook muddied after recent arrivals
21m agoWilson has more competition for targets from quarterback Kyler Murray after the team selected Marvin Harrison fourth overall in this year's draft and then signed seven-year pro Zay Jones last week, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Wilson spent much of the offseason No. 2, at best, in the pecking order in the Cardinals passing game behind tight end Trey McBride, but the recent additions leave Wilson's potential volume in the upcoming campaign up in the air. As a rookie second-round pick last year, Wilson put together a 38-565-3 line on 58 targets in 13 contests, but he produced just 13 catches (on 25 targets) for 164 yards and one touchdown in five outings with Murray under center. The arrival of the dynamic Harrison likely leaves Wilson fending for looks with Jones, who has three years with at least 500 receiving yards on his resume.

Jonah Elliss DEN DE
Broncos' Jonah Elliss: On pace with recovery
1h agoElliss (shoulder) should be fully healed by training camp, Mike Klis of 9News reports.
Elliss underwent surgery to repair a torn shoulder labrum six months ago, but he still isn't quite 100 percent. However, the Broncos' 2024 third-round selection was able to take part in walkthroughs and individual portions of the team's recent rookie minicamp. The son of former NFL player, Luther Elliss, Jonah projects to be a pass-rush specialist after recording 12 sacks in just 10 games at Utah last season.

Lucas Havrisik CLE K
Lucas Havrisik: Loses spot
2h agoHavrisik was waived by the Browns on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Havrisik signed a reserve/future contract with Cleveland in January after the Rams waived him. He was expected to at least have the opportunity to compete with Dustin Hopkins (hamstring) and Cade York for the team's kicker job in 2024, but instead, he'll become a free agent once again.
-
Corey Luciano SF C
Corey Luciano: Cut loose from team
3h agoLuciano was waived by the 49ers on Tuesday, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.
Luciano was set to get a second opportunity with the 49ers after appearing in two games with the franchise last season. However, he'll now hit the open market again, to make room for swing tackle Chris Hubbard, and to keep San Francisco under the 90-man roster limit.

Jahmyr Gibbs DET RB
Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs: To see more touches in 2024
3h agoAppearing on The Rich Eisen Show on Monday, Lions GM Brad Holmes said he "definitely would expect" Gibbs to "see more of the load" out of the backfield in 2024.
Holmes added that he thinks Gibbs will also be even more involved in the passing game in his second season. Only seven running backs saw more targets than Gibbs' 71 in 2023, and his 52 catches were tied for the ninth-most at the position. Backfield mate David Montgomery out-carried Gibbs 219 to 182, but Gibbs had a commanding edge in the pass game with 47 more targets than the veteran. There's reason to believe Gibbs' touches will rise in 2024, but Montgomery isn't going away. This backfield will remain a one-two punch, and Montgomery is the favorite for carries when the Lions are trying to kill the clock when they have a lead. Gibbs' fantasy ceiling remains extremely high due to the overall explosive nature of Detroit's offense.

Earnest Brown IV SF DE
49ers' Earnest Brown: Gets let go
3h agoBrown was waived by the 49ers on Tuesday, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.
Brown headed to San Francisco in February after appearing in 12 games over two seasons with the Rams. The Northwestern product will depart the team, along with center Corey Luciano, to make room for recent additions, Chris Hubbard and Shakel Brown to keep the 49ers under the current 90-man roster limit.

Brett Harris OAK 3B
Athletics' Brett Harris: Taking seat Tuesday
4m agoHarris is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game at Houston, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Harris started all 11 games at third base since being promoted by Oakland on May 3, and he'll receive a day off after he posted a .147/.333/.412 slash line. Abraham Toro will man the hot corner while Zack Gelof (oblique) returns from the injured list to start at second base.
-
Nico Hoerner CHC 2B
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Scratched from lineup
4m agoHoerner was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against Atlanta due to left hamstring tightness, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.
Hoerner was originally slated to bat leadoff for Chicago in Game 2 of their series in Atlanta, but he will now be forced to take a seat. More information on his injury will likely be provided following the contest, but in the meantime, Miles Mastrobuoni will take over at shortstop and bat eighth against Atlanta.
-
Stuart Fairchild CIN CF
Reds' Stuart Fairchild: Not starting Tuesday
7m agoFairchild isn't in the Reds' lineup for Tuesday's game versus Arizona.
Fairchild has turned in one hit -- a solo home run -- and walked three times across his last five games, and he'll now take a seat against Slade Cecconi and the D-backs. Jacob Hurtubise, Will Benson and Jake Fraley will start across the Reds' outfield Tuesday while Conner Capel serves as the DH.
-
Spencer Steer CIN LF
Reds' Spencer Steer: Idle Tuesday
10m agoSteer isn't in the Reds' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks
Steer will catch a breather Tuesday after extending his hitting streak to five games while also driving in two runs during Monday's loss. Jacob Hurtubise will get the nod to start in left field and bat ninth while Steer rests.

Jose Butto NYM SP
Mets' Jose Butto: Gives up one hit in loss
16m agoButto (1-3) took the loss Tuesday against the Phillies, allowing two runs on one hit and four walks over five innings. He struck out four.
Butto was sharp for most of the day, though he hit a rough patch in the third inning -- the right-hander loaded the bases with two outs before hitting Alec Bohm with a pitch and walking Brandon Marsh. The two runs proved to be more than enough to stick Butto with the loss, as the Mets couldn't get anything going against Aaron Nola in a 4-0 shutout defeat. The 26-year-old Butto's allowed just six runs in his last three starts (16 innings), though he's gone 1-2 in that span. Overall, his ERA sits at a solid 3.08 through his first 38 innings this year with a 1.13 WHIP and 38:21 K:BB. Butto's currently in line for a road start early next week against the Guardians.

Ryder Ryan PIT RP
Pirates' Ryder Ryan: Recalled to Pittsburgh
19m agoThe Pirates recalled Ryan from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday.
Ryan holds a 3.00 ERA and 1.08 WHIP through 12 innings across nine appearances with the Pirates this season, and he will now return to the majors to provide additional bullpen depth. He will replace Josh Fleming, who was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

-
Luka Doncic DAL PG

Doncic continues to deal with a right knee sprain and left ankle soreness but is expected to suit up yet again. Doncic is averaging 41.0 minutes per contest across the first four games of the series and is unlikely to operate under a minutes restriction in Game 5.

OG Anunoby NY SF
Knicks' OG Anunoby: Progressing in recovery
1h agoCoach Tom Thibodeau said Tuesday that Anunoby (hamstring) is getting in some "light work on the court", Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Anunoby has already been ruled out for Game 5 on Tuesday, marking his third straight absence due to a left hamstring strain. While the 25-year-old forward is progressing in his recovery, his status for Game 6 on Friday is in doubt.
-
Caris LeVert CLE SG
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Questionable for Wednesday
2h agoLeVert (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics.
LeVert started in place of Donovan Mitchell (calf) on Monday night, posting a respectable stat line across 39 minutes, despite the loss. With the Cavaliers hoping to roar back from a 3-1 deficit, the questionable tag is likely just a precaution as LeVert deals with a lingering knee injury.
-
Jarrett Allen CLE C
Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Questionable for Game 5
2h agoAllen (ribs) is questionable for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics.
Allen has missed the last seven games with a right rib contusion, but with the Cavaliers on the brink of elimination, they will hope to bring the big man back. If Allen is out, Evan Mobley will likely continue to start at center, with Isaac Okoro slotting in at power forward.
-
Ty Jerome CLE SG
Cavaliers' Ty Jerome: Another absence coming
2h agoJerome (ankle) is out for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics.
Jerome hasn't played since Oct. 27 while recovering from right ankle surgery. There is no indication that Jerome is nearing a return to action.
-
Jeremy Swayman BOS G
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Starting Game 5
43m agoSwayman will protect the road goal versus the Panthers in Tuesday's Game 5, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
Swayman has allowed 12 goals during his three-game losing streak, but head coach Jim Montgomery is sticking with the 25-year-old with the Bruins' season on the line. Through 10 playoff outings, Swayman has a 2.28 GAA and a .930 save percentage, though he has lost two of his last three road games.
-
Roope Hintz DAL LW
Stars' Roope Hintz: Undergoing testing
5h agoHintz (upper body) is still being evaluated ahead of Wednesday's Game 5 matchup against Colorado, according to Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News.
Hintz didn't return to Monday's 5-1 win over the Avalanche in Game 4 after blocking a shot late in the first period. He has generated two goals, four assists, 13 shots on net and 15 hits in 11 outings this postseason. If Hintz isn't available to play in Game 5, Radek Faksa or Ty Dellandrea could suit up in Wednesday's contest versus Colorado.
-
Phillip Di Giuseppe VAN LW
Canucks' Phil Di Giuseppe: Not playing in Game 4
5h agoDi Giuseppe (personal) won't play Tuesday in Game 4 versus Edmonton, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Di Giuseppe, who will miss his second straight contest, is expected to rejoin the team at Wednesday's practice. He has registered one assist, two shots on goal and 26 hits in eight outings this postseason. Once he is available to return, Di Giuseppe may replace Linus Karlsson or Nils Aman in the lineup.
-
Devon Toews COL D
Avalanche's Devon Toews: Traveling with team
5h agoToews (illness) will make the trip to Dallas ahead of Wednesday's must-win Game 5 versus the Stars, Evan Rawal of Colorado Hockey Now reports.
Toews missed Monday's Game 4 due to an illness, but he's reportedly feeling better Tuesday, making it seem likely he'll return for Wednesday's must-win contest. The 30-year-old defender has collected one goal and six points through eight games this postseason.
-
Arturs Silovs VAN G
Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Making seventh straight start
5h agoSilovs will patrol the road crease versus Edmonton in Game 4 on Tuesday, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Silovs was excellent in Game 3 on Sunday, turning aside 42 of a whopping 45 shots en route to a 4-3 victory. The Oilers appear set to split stars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl between two lines Tuesday, so while Edmonton's first line won't be quite as intimidating, Silovs will presumably face a more balanced attack from the team in Game 4.
-
Adam Henrique EDM C
Oilers' Adam Henrique: Won't play Tuesday
6h agoHenrique (ankle) won't play Tuesday in Game 4 against the Canucks, per Tony Brar of Oilers TV.
Henrique will miss his second straight contest. He has picked up one goal, one assist, four shots on net and 22 hits in six outings this postseason. The 34-year-old forward had 24 goals and 51 points in 82 appearances between the Oilers and Ducks during the 2023-24 regular season.
