3m agoBakhtiari (knee) had a positive follow-up exam with expert Dr. Brian Cole, and Cole proclaimed him on schedule for a 2024 season return, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Bakhtiari was released by the Packers in March, but previously stated he had every intention of suiting up somewhere for the 2024 campaign, as long as he was healthy enough to do so. The two-time first-team All-Pro tackle likely will be able to garner interest from multiple NFL teams once he can start working out for them.

Tucker Kraft GB TEPackers' Tucker Kraft: Out until training camp
34m agoCoach Matt LaFleur said Tuesday that Kraft (pectoral) will be sidelined until at least the start training camp, Zach Kruse of USA Today reports.
LaFleur said Kraft and offensive lineman Zach Tom (pectoral) will both be out until at least the start of training camp, if not longer. The nature of Kraft's injury hasn't yet been disclosed, but he was spotted with his arm in a sling Tuesday and didn't practice. As a rookie, the 2023 third-round pick stepped up nicely in the wake of an injury to Luke Musgrave, also a 2023 draftee. He figures to handle a complementary role in Green Bay's tight end room when healthy.

Alijah Vera-Tucker NYJ OGJets' Alijah Vera-Tucker: Still not ready
34m agoVera-Tucker (Achilles) hasn't been cleared for football activity yet, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Vera-Tucker suffered a torn Achilles tendon Oct. 8 against the Broncos and remains in the process of recovery. The veteran offensive lineman is still expected to be ready for training camp, barring any setbacks, and is fully expected to be the Jets' starter at right guard in 2024.

Pipkins left the team's season finale against the Chiefs due to a knee injury, but apparently, it was not too serious, as the Sioux Falls product is taking part in practice. The 27-year-old saw work at right tackle and also slid inside to guard Monday, while the Chargers got a look at first-round selection Joe Alt at right tackle.

Rumph suffered a broken foot during warmups of the Chargers' Week 10 matchup, which put an early end to his season. His inability to practice with the team suggests the Duke product is still working on his recovery, but is at least making progress in doing so.

Elieser Hernandez LAD RPDodgers' Elieser Hernandez: Works in relief Monday
2m agoHernandez gave up two earned runs on two hits over an inning of relief in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
After being called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City last Wednesday, Hernandez ended up starting in the Dodgers' series finale in San Francisco, covering six innings while giving up three earned runs in a losing effort. With an off day coming up Thursday, the Dodgers weren't in need of an additional starter this week, so Hernandez shifted to the bullpen. He'll likely work mostly in lower-leverage spots while he remains up with the Dodgers.

5m agoMets manager Carlos Mendoza said that Senga (shoulder/triceps) played light catch Tuesday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Senga -- who is on the injured list with a right posterior shoulder capsule strain -- had to have a scheduled bullpen session Sunday scrapped due to right triceps tightness. The hope is that he'll be able to throw off a mound later this week, though, and it's a good sign that he was able to do any kind of throwing Tuesday. Senga's timetable for a return is open-ended.

Gerrit Cole NYY SPYankees' Gerrit Cole: Could return in June
7m agoCole (elbow) threw against live batters Tuesday and will throw another live session this weekend and didn't rule out a return in June, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
Cole faced hitters for the first time since being shut down with elbow inflammation. He threw about 20 pitches in what's expected to be the first of two or three total live sessions. Cole will be eligible to return from the 60-day injured list before the end of May, but he'll require a multi-start rehab assignment and is still at least a few weeks away from making his season debut.

13m agoTurner (hamstring) hit on the field and ran at 80 percent effort level Tuesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
Turner has ramped up his workouts over the last week and has not reported any soreness in his left hamstring. The Phillies have been encouraged by Turner's progress, but they insist he won't be rushed and have not offered an amendment of the shortstop's initial six-week timetable. However, Friday will be just the three-week mark of the injury, so it sure seems as though Turner is ahead of schedule.

2h agoTillman (personal) has been ruled out for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers on Tuesday.
Tillman will join Kristaps Porzingis (calf) as unavailable, but the former's absence shouldn't impact Boston's rotation, as he's appeared in just three of Boston's first 10 postseason contests. Al Horford and Luke Kornet should continue to handle all meaningful minutes at center in Game 1.

Celtics' Xavier Tillman: Questionable for Game 1
23h agoTillman is questionable for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Pacers due to personal reasons, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
Tillman hasn't been a consistent part of the rotation during the playoffs, appearing in just three matchups and averaging 1.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game. While it's unclear whether he'll be available to begin the Eastern Conference Finals, his status shouldn't significantly impact the rotation.

As expected, Porzingis will remain sidelined to start the Eastern Conference Finals due to a right calf strain he suffered in Boston's opening-round series versus Miami. The Latvian big man didn't practice Monday, so it doesn't appear he's close to game action. However, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported Friday that Boston is optimistic that Porzingis could return at some point during the series versus Indiana.

Porzingis sustained a calf injury during the first round of the playoffs and isn't expected to be available for the start of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers. His absence from practice reflects that pessimism, while Al Horford and Luke Kornet should continue to see an uptick in playing time during Tuesday's Game 1.

1d agoCaldwell-Pope racked up five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Caldwell-Pope scored single digits for the sixth time in the past eight games, highlighting the Nuggets' struggles when it comes to depth on the offensive end. While he continues to play a key role for Denver, his lack of production cannot be ignored when it comes to fantasy value. Looking ahead to next season, there is no reason to think he will be anything more than a situational streamer, utilized for steals and threes.

1d agoMurray provided 35 points (13-27 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and three assists over 43 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to Minnesota in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Murray did everything he could to get the Nuggets over the line but ultimately came up short. He and Nikola Jokic scored 69 of the Nuggets' 90 points, highlighting just how unimpactful their bench was. While it was a disappointing end for Murray, his production this year aligned with what fantasy managers expected coming into the season. Given they will likely be contending again next season, there is no reason to think anything changes from a fantasy perspective in 2024-25.

5m agoSt. Ivany agreed to terms on a three-year, $2.325 million contract with Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
St. Ivany managed just one point in his 14 NHL appearances this season while averaging 13:42 of ice time. The 24-year-old blueliner is likely a long shot to make the 23-man roster for Opening Night this fall but should be atop the list of potential call-ups throughout the year.

Flames' Martin Pospisil: Injured at World Championship
1h agoPospisil suffered an apparent upper-body injury in Slovakia's matchup with Sweden on Monday, Claire Hanna of TSN reports.
Pospisil has been lighting it up at the international tournament with three goals and four assists. In his rookie campaign, the 24-year-old center notched eight goals and 16 helpers despite not having a significant role with the man advantage. Barring a long-term injury, Pospisil should be capable of improving on those numbers in his sophomore campaign.

Ryan McDonagh NSH DLightning's Ryan McDonagh: Returning to Bolts
3h agoMcDonagh was traded to the Lightning from the Predators along with a 2024 fourth-round pick in exchange for a 2025 second-round selection and 2024 seventh-round pick.
McDonagh spent five seasons with the Lightning during his previous stint, logging 267 regular-season games for the club while lifting Lord Stanley's Cup twice during his stay. McDonagh figures to slot into a third pairing for the Lightning. With the acquisition of McDonagh, Tampa Bay is unlikely to re-sign Matt Dumba or Calvin de Haan.

5h agoLindgren was absent for his third straight day due to maintenance issues, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports Tuesday.
At this point, Lindgren's absences are becoming a concern regarding his availability for Game 1 against the Panthers on Wednesday. If the blueliner does miss any contests, it will likely result in increased ice time for Erik Gustafsson in addition to seeing Zac Jones enter the lineup for the first time since April 7 versus the Habs.

Avalanche's Trent Miner: Inks one-year contract
5h agoMiner signed a one-year contract extension with the Avalanche on Tuesday.
Miner spent his time in the AHL and ECHL this season. He recorded an impressive .930 save percentage through 18 appearances during his time in the AHL as well as a .917 save percentage through 11 ECHL appearances. Alexandar Georgiev and Justus Annunen are both under contract through 2024-25, so Miner will likely spend most, if not all, of next season in the minors.

Elias Lindholm VAN CCanucks' Elias Lindholm: Generates helper Monday
16h agoLindholm logged an assist, two shots on goal, five hits and two blocked shots in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 7.
Lindholm did his part in the second round with three goals and four assists over seven games, but it wasn't enough to extend the Canucks' season. The center produced 22 points over 39 contests between the regular season and playoffs with Vancouver following his trade from Calgary. The 29-year-old is set for unrestricted free agency and figures to be one of the biggest names on the market July 1, assuming he doesn't re-up with the Canucks before then.
