14m agoPipkins (knee) participated during OTAs on Monday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Pipkins left the team's season finale against the Chiefs due to a knee injury, but apparently, it was not too serious, as the Sioux Falls product is taking part in practice. The 27-year-old saw work at right tackle and also slid inside to guard Monday, while the Chargers got a look at first-round selection Joe Alt at right tackle.

21m agoRumph (foot) worked with trainers during OTAs on Monday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Rumph suffered a broken foot during warmups of the Chargers' Week 10 matchup, which put an early end to his season. His inability to practice with the team suggests the Duke product is still working on his recovery, but is at least making progress in doing so.

30m agoJones (shoulder) is ready to get back on the field during OTAs, Danny Jaillet of USA Today reports.
Jones suffered a torn labrum in Week 2 last season and then spent the rest of the 2023 campaign on injured reserve. His ability to return to the field, and be ready for the 2024 campaign is great news for New England, who dealt with multiple injuries to key pieces of their secondary last year.

1h agoEnagbare (knee) participated in OTAs on Tuesday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Enagbare was able to avoid a significant injury, which was originally believed to be an ACL tear, during the Packers' wild-card win over the Cowboys last season. It's not clear how involved he was while participating, and if he did team or individual drills. However, his ability to be on the field this early in his recovery is good news for the South Carolina product and the Packers.

1h agoCoach Matt LaFleur said Tuesday that Jacobs (hamstring) isn't practicing but should return to the field before too long, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Jacobs was limited during OTAs on Tuesday, but it doesn't sound like the Packers are too concerned about his health. In the meantime, rookie third-round pick MarShawn Lloyd and returning veteran AJ Dillon will get extra backfield reps until Jacobs is ready to go. Jacobs at least worked on the side Tuesday, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, so he's already getting acclimated to his new offense.

2m agoEncarnacion-Strand (wrist) will have a follow-up exam on June 5, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
That will be the four-week mark of Encarnacion-Strand's projected 4-to-6 week timetable as he recovers from a fracture in his right wrist, so it would appear he's not going to make it back on the early side of that timeline. Encarnacion-Strand would presumably require a rehab assignment before returning.

Randy Vasquez SD SPPadres' Randy Vasquez: Optioned to Triple-A
2m agoVasquez was optioned to Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.
Vasquez will head back to the minors after making three straight starts with the Padres. His big-league spot will go to Joe Musgrove (elbow) who's being activated from the 15-day injured list. In those three starts, Vasquez went 0-2 with a 5.79 ERA in 14.0 innings.

Johnathan Rodriguez CLE RFGuardians' Johnathan Rodriguez: Making MLB debut Tuesday
3m agoRodriguez is starting in right field and batting seventh Tuesday against the Mets.
The 24-year-old was called up from Triple-A Columbus on Monday and will make his MLB debut for Cleveland a day later. Rodriguez posted a .276/.389/.449 slash line with seven homers through 43 games for Columbus this season, and he could carve out a regular role in the outfield given the Guardians' lack of offensive production from their outfield this year.

Aledmys Diaz OAK SSAthletics' Aledmys Diaz: Time off after back-to-back games
3m agoDiaz (calf) appeared in back-to-back rehab games with Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday before receiving Sunday off.
Diaz played seven innings at third base in Friday's game against El Paso before walking in his only plate appearance as the designated hitter Saturday. There's been no report of an aggravation of the injury to explain why Diaz was in the game for such a brief time Saturday, and he was then out of the lineup Sunday before the team's off day Monday. The Aviators also saw their scheduled game against Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday postponed due to rain, so Diaz will have had some extra rest if he does return to the lineup for the Aviators on Wednesday.

6m agoReds manager David Bell said Tuesday that Lodolo (groin) will throw an extended bullpen session within the next day or two, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Following the bullpen session, a plan will be mapped out for Lodolo's return. The left-hander had previously expressed optimism that he could be back from the 15-day injured list when first eligible on May 27, so it's possible he'll skip a rehab assignment and go right back into the Reds' rotation if things go well during the bullpen session.

1h agoTillman (personal) has been ruled out for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers on Tuesday.
Tillman will join Kristaps Porzingis (calf) as unavailable, but the former's absence shouldn't impact Boston's rotation, as he's appeared in just three of Boston's first 10 postseason contests. Al Horford and Luke Kornet should continue to handle all meaningful minutes at center in Game 1.

22h agoTillman is questionable for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Pacers due to personal reasons, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
Tillman hasn't been a consistent part of the rotation during the playoffs, appearing in just three matchups and averaging 1.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game. While it's unclear whether he'll be available to begin the Eastern Conference Finals, his status shouldn't significantly impact the rotation.

As expected, Porzingis will remain sidelined to start the Eastern Conference Finals due to a right calf strain he suffered in Boston's opening-round series versus Miami. The Latvian big man didn't practice Monday, so it doesn't appear he's close to game action. However, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported Friday that Boston is optimistic that Porzingis could return at some point during the series versus Indiana.

Porzingis sustained a calf injury during the first round of the playoffs and isn't expected to be available for the start of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers. His absence from practice reflects that pessimism, while Al Horford and Luke Kornet should continue to see an uptick in playing time during Tuesday's Game 1.

1d agoCaldwell-Pope racked up five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Caldwell-Pope scored single digits for the sixth time in the past eight games, highlighting the Nuggets' struggles when it comes to depth on the offensive end. While he continues to play a key role for Denver, his lack of production cannot be ignored when it comes to fantasy value. Looking ahead to next season, there is no reason to think he will be anything more than a situational streamer, utilized for steals and threes.

1d agoMurray provided 35 points (13-27 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and three assists over 43 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to Minnesota in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Murray did everything he could to get the Nuggets over the line but ultimately came up short. He and Nikola Jokic scored 69 of the Nuggets' 90 points, highlighting just how unimpactful their bench was. While it was a disappointing end for Murray, his production this year aligned with what fantasy managers expected coming into the season. Given they will likely be contending again next season, there is no reason to think anything changes from a fantasy perspective in 2024-25.

41m agoPospisil suffered an apparent upper-body injury in Slovakia's matchup with Sweden on Monday, Claire Hanna of TSN reports.
Pospisil has been lighting it up at the international tournament with three goals and four assists. In his rookie campaign, the 24-year-old center notched eight goals and 16 helpers despite not having a significant role with the man advantage. Barring a long-term injury, Pospisil should be capable of improving on those numbers in his sophomore campaign.

3h agoMcDonagh was traded to the Lightning from the Predators along with a 2024 fourth-round pick in exchange for a 2025 second-round selection and 2024 seventh-round pick.
McDonagh spent five seasons with the Lightning during his previous stint, logging 267 regular-season games for the club while lifting Lord Stanley's Cup twice during his stay. McDonagh figures to slot into a third pairing for the Lightning. With the acquisition of McDonagh, Tampa Bay is unlikely to re-sign Matt Dumba or Calvin de Haan.

4h agoLindgren was absent for his third straight day due to maintenance issues, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports Tuesday.
At this point, Lindgren's absences are becoming a concern regarding his availability for Game 1 against the Panthers on Wednesday. If the blueliner does miss any contests, it will likely result in increased ice time for Erik Gustafsson in addition to seeing Zac Jones enter the lineup for the first time since April 7 versus the Habs.

Avalanche's Trent Miner: Inks one-year contract
4h agoMiner signed a one-year contract extension with the Avalanche on Tuesday.
Miner spent his time in the AHL and ECHL this season. He recorded an impressive .930 save percentage through 18 appearances during his time in the AHL as well as a .917 save percentage through 11 ECHL appearances. Alexandar Georgiev and Justus Annunen are both under contract through 2024-25, so Miner will likely spend most, if not all, of next season in the minors.

15h agoLindholm logged an assist, two shots on goal, five hits and two blocked shots in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 7.
Lindholm did his part in the second round with three goals and four assists over seven games, but it wasn't enough to extend the Canucks' season. The center produced 22 points over 39 contests between the regular season and playoffs with Vancouver following his trade from Calgary. The 29-year-old is set for unrestricted free agency and figures to be one of the biggest names on the market July 1, assuming he doesn't re-up with the Canucks before then.

15h agoHughes notched an assist in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 7.
Hughes produced five assists over seven second-round games. The 24-year-old defenseman concluded the postseason with 10 helpers, 21 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating across 13 appearances. Hughes' goal-scoring took a step forward with 17 tallies among his 92 points in the regular season, but he's always been more of a facilitator from the blue line. The Canucks' captain remains an integral part of the club's future heading into 2024-25.
