1m agoThe Patriots selected Baker in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 110th overall.
Baker was a four-star recruit and spent his first two years of college at Alabama. He struggled to get on the field with the Crimson Tide before ultimately transferring to UCF, where he combined to post 108 receptions for 1,936 yards and 12 touchdowns in his last two seasons. Baker's ability to translate to the NFL is in question, as he was a big-play threat in college but posted only mediocre size-adjusted speed at the NFL Combine. Nevertheless, the Patriots lack clarity on their wide receiver depth chart, so Baker could emerge with a bigger role than expected.

9m agoThe Vikings selected Jackson in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 108th overall.
Jackson (6-foot-4, 194 pounds) is a highly unusual cornerback prospect both due to his tall, lanky build as well as the strange, winding path his collegiate football career took to this point. Jackson played for Oregon in 2023 but spent his first two years out of high school out of football, only picking back up in the third year after getting a shot in the JUCO ranks. After two years there, Jackson got the attention of Alabama, where he was a backup for two years before finally transferring to Oregon. Now Jackson will be a 25-year-old rookie, and one that might require more development time all the same. If Jackson can fully channel his talent into developing more as a corner, he could prove to be effective in press coverage in particular, as his 32 and 3/4-inch arms make it easy to jab wideouts at the line of scrimmage.

Theo Johnson 2005 TEGiants' Theo Johnson: Needed tight end depth for NYG
10m agoThe Giants selected Johnson in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 107th overall.
With Darren Waller's status for the upcoming season up in the air, targeting tight end made sense for the Giants. Johnson is one of the most athletic tight end prospects in this class with 4.57 speed on a 6-foot-6, 259-pound frame. His combine workout firmly put him in the top five at the position. However, when scouts see those types of workout numbers, they wonder why the on-field production wasn't better. Johnson topped out at 34 catches for 341 yards as a senior, though seven of those catches went for touchdowns. His YPT mark lagged behind, though, checking in at 6.4 in 2023. If Johnson can maximize his tools, he can be an asset in the Giants passing game. If Waller does retire this offseason, Johnson should be on the fantasy radar. However, fantasy managers shouldn't forget the presence of 2022 fourth-rounder Daniel Bellinger as a contender for the starting role.

Brandon Dorlus 2005 DLFalcons' Brandon Dorlus: Another pass rusher for Atlanta
12m agoThe Falcons selected Dorlus in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 109th overall.
Dorlus led Oregon in sacks last season with five and had at least one sack in all five collegiate seasons with the Ducks. A multi-time first-team All-Pac-12 pass rusher, Dorlus brings a ton of positional flexibility to an Atlanta defensive line that has routinely struggled to generate pressure without blitzing in recent years.

15m agoThe Titans selected Gray in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 106th overall.
Gray was a very productive starter in the middle of North Carolina's defense, racking up at least 100 tackles in three straight seasons. He'll bring that run-stopping ability to a Tennessee defense that is thin at inside linebacker alongside Kenneth Murray, meaning Gray could find himself on the field for meaningful defensive snaps in his rookie season. At the very least, he should immediately contribute on special teams.

Justin Eboigbe 2005 DLChargers' Justin Eboigbe: Joins rebuilt defense for Bolts
19m agoThe Chargers selected Eboigbe in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 105th overall.
The fifth-year senior broke out in a major way along the Alabama Crimson Tide's defensive front last season, tallying 11.5 tackles for a loss and 7.0 sacks en route to first-team All-SEC honors. With a prototypical frame (6-foot-4) and solid burst with his upper body coupled with strong hand speed, Eboigbe projects well as a rotational defensive lineman early on and could push a number of the unassuming veterans above him on the depth chart for immediate playing time.

A week after being selected from Triple-A Jacksonville, Tyler will now lose his spot on Miami's 40-man roster. He made one appearance during his brief time in the majors, allowing one earned run in two innings during Friday's loss to Washington. Kent Emanuel was selected from Jacksonville in a corresponding move.

33m agoThe Marlins selected Emanuel's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday.
Emanuel appeared in one game for the Marlins in early April, allowing four earned runs across three innings out of the bullpen. He's been much more successful since being sent down to the minors, and he'll now get another chance to stick around in Miami as a multi-inning reliever. Kyle Tyler was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Yoshida was not in Boston's starting lineup over the last four games, though he did appear in two contests as a pinch hitter. His absence over the last three games coincided with Rafael Devers starting at DH after missing time due to a left bone bruise, and the Red Sox appear reluctant to start Yoshida in the outfield early in the season. Devers will shift to third base for Saturday's game, while Yoshida resumes his role as the designated hitter against Cubs right-hander Ben Brown.

Robinson was seen wearing a walking boot on his sprained left ankle following an early exit in Thursday's 125-114 loss to the 76ers. He had accumulated two points (1-3 FG, 0-2 FT) and seven rebounds across 12 minutes before leaving. His absence from Saturdays' practice is not a good sign for his status for Sunday's Game 4, but the team has not ruled the big man out. If he ultimately does not get the green light, Precious Achiuwa figures to serve as the primary backup behind Isaiah Hartenstein.

Booker finished just two assists away from recording a double-double in Game 3, and the star guard will need to be at his best Sunday if the Suns want to avoid getting swept in the first round. Booker's scoring numbers have increased with each passing game in the series, though this was the first time he surpassed the 20-point plateau.

Beal led the Suns in scoring Friday, but as has been the case throughout the series, Phoenix simply hasn't been able to hang on with the Timberwolves throughout an entire game, which explains the 0-3 deficit the Suns are currently in right now. This was the first team Beal surpassed the 15-point mark in the series, and the veteran guard will need to keep the momentum going for Game 4 on Sunday if the Suns want to avoid getting swept in the first round.

Durant bounced back from a subpar showing in Game 2, at least for his lofty standards, and he had a strong showing in Game 3, but once again, his contributions were not enough to lift the Suns to victory as Phoenix fell into an 0-3 deficit. Durant will need to be at his best if the Suns want to avoid the sweep in Game 4 on Sunday. He's averaging 24.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in the series.

Gobert's scoring numbers have increased with each passing game in the series, though the increased offensive responsibility in Game 3 was directly related to Karl-Anthony Towns being limited with foul trouble. Gobert also has two double-doubles in three games during he current series, averaging 17.0 points and 13.0 boards per contest.

Towns needed 16 shots to score 18 points, but he still made his presence felt and looked active on the glass, grabbing double-digit boards despite being limited to just 24 minutes due to foul trouble. Towns has adjusted well to life operating as Minnesota's second offensive option behind Anthony Edwards, but he remains extremely valuable in fantasy as a two-way big man who can shoot threes at an above-average rate. He's averaging 16.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game in the current series while shooting an elite 45.5 percent (5-for-11) from beyond the arc.

25m agoSwayman was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports, indicating he will guard the road net Saturday versus Toronto in Game 4.
Swayman is coming off a 28-save performance in Wednesday's 4-2 victory over the Maple Leafs in Game 3. He has stopped 63 of 66 shots en route to a 2-0 record in the opening round of the postseason. If the Bruins emerge victorious Saturday, the team can take a 3-1 stranglehold in the best-of-seven series.

Van Riemsdyk took a high hit from Rangers winger Matt Rempe during the first period of Friday's 3-1 loss and was not on the ice for Saturday's skate. The 32-year-old could be replaced by Nick Jensen (upper body) or Rasmus Sandin (upper body) should they be cleared to return, but both remain game-time decisions.

Andersen is a perfect 3-0 versus the Islanders in the opening round. He has allowed six goals on 77 shots (.922 save percentage) as the Hurricanes have shut down the Islanders in the series. Andersen was outstanding in the regular season, going 13-2-0 with a 1.84 GAA and a .932 save percentage in 16 appearances.

1h agoPer Terry Koshan of The Toronto Sun, McMann (lower body) is getting closer to returning to practice, according to coach Sheldon Keefe.
McMann missed the last two games of the regular season, and will miss his fourth straight playoff game Saturday, after he was injured Apr. 13 versus Detroit. McMann was a huge surprise this season, as he had 15 goals, nine assists and 117 hits in 56 regular-season games. He is still a possible option to return to action for the latter part of the opening round versus the Bruins.

Nylander's return would be a major boost to Toronto's lineup as they try to even the series in Game 4. The 27-year-old winger had missed the first three games of the series after posting a career-high 98 points (40 goals, 58 assists) in 82 regular-season contests.
