2h agoWilliams, who is dealing with a foot injury that he sustained while training this spring, per Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register, won't take part in the Rams' offseason program, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
That said, Barshop adds that coach Sean McVay has downplayed Williams' foot issue, noting that it's "nothing to worry about. He'll be ready to go for training camp." As the coming season approaches, the 2022 fifth-rounder remains atop the Rams' RB depth chart, with rookie third-rounder Blake Corum, Boston Scott, Ronnie Rivers and Zach Evans providing the team with backfield depth. Of the aforementioned backups, Corum could be the most notable threat to the 2024 workload of the 5-foot-9, 194-pound Williams.

Caleb Farley TEN CBTitans' Caleb Farley: Back on field for OTAs
2h agoFarley (back) practiced Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Farley missed all of the 2023 season with the injury but seems to have recovered while participating in team drills. Wyatt noted that the 2021 first-round selection "moved well." Farley will likely be competing for slot corner duties, or a depth role, behind Chidobe Awuzie and L'Jarius Sneed.

2h agoTom (pectoral) will be out until training camp, head coach Matt LaFleuer said Tuesday, Zach Kruse of USA Today reports.
It's not clear when or how Tom suffered the injury, but he'll start the Packers' offseason programs on the sidelines. LaFleur stated there was no long-term concern with the injury, and they do expect him to be ready for training camp.

Whyle closed last season on injured reserve, but he was back on the field participating in practice as the Titans held offseason workouts. The 2023 fifth-round selection looked bigger and sturdier than last year, according to Wyatt.

Back in February, Levis -- who was slowed by a foot injury late last season -- relayed that he was close to 100 percent at that time. At this stage, the second-year QB appears to have put the issue behind him, and on Tuesday Levis got in some work with the Titans' top wideouts, a group that includes free-agent additions Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd, along with returnees DeAndre Hopkins and Treylon Burks. With veteran RyanTannehill no longer in the mix, Levis approaches the coming season as the team's clear-cut top QB, backed up by Mason Rudolph and Malik Willis. During his rookie season, the Kentucky product completed 149-of-255 passing attempts for 1,808 yards with eight touchdowns and four interceptions in nine starts.

Jackson worked as the Titans' punt returner last season before he suffered a season-ending ankle injury Week 2 against the Chargers. Now healthy, he'll likely be competing with 2024 sixth-round selection, Jha'Quan Jackson for that role this season.

Drew Rasmussen TB SPRays' Drew Rasmussen: Tosses bullpen session
1m agoRasmussen (elbow) was scheduled to throw a bullpen session Tuesday at the Rays' spring training facility, MLB.com reports.
An MLB.com report earlier this month suggested that Rasmussen had been slated to pitch in an extended spring training game May 20, but it's unclear if that actually came to fruition. In any case, Rasmussen's ability to step back on a mound Tuesday represents a positive step forward in his recovery from the internal brace procedure he underwent on his right elbow July 24, 2023. Though the hybrid procedure is designed to accelerate Rasmussen's recovery timeline compared to Tommy John surgery, expect the Rays to ease him along slowly through his throwing program, given that he had previously underwent two Tommy John surgeries earlier in his career. President of baseball operations Erik Neander said in spring training that Rasmussen could be an option to rejoin the big-league pitching staff in the latter months of the 2024 season if all goes well in his rehab program.

Jeffrey Springs TB SPRays' Jeffrey Springs: Works one inning in rehab start
7m agoSprings (elbow) was charged with one earned run on three hits while striking out two over one inning in a rehab start Monday with the Rays' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate.
According to MLB.com, Rays manager Kevin Cash that Springs felt good following the rehab start, which was his first appearance in a game setting since he underwent Tommy John surgery April 24, 2023. Cash noted that Springs has one more rehab outing planned with the Rays' FCL affiliate before moving on to Triple-A Durham. Springs should gradually increase his innings and pitch counts in his subsequent minor-league outings, though he'll still likely need the full 30-day rehab window to get ramped up before being deemed ready to return from the 60-day injured list, likely in the final week or two of June.

33m agoRaley will undergo Tommy John surgery sometime next week, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Raley was diagnosed with a strained UCL in his left elbow last Wednesday, and although manager Carlos Mendoza had said the lefty's UCL was healing, Raley will elect to undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery. The 35-year-old will finish the year with a perfect 0.00 ERA alongside a 9:3 K:BB through seven innings, and he will likely be sidelined until the second half of the 2025 campaign.

Bobby Miller LAD SPDodgers' Bobby Miller: Throws sim game Tuesday
39m agoMiller (shoulder) threw a three-inning, 51-pitch sim game Tuesday and is expected to make a rehab start with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday, according to manager Dave Roberts.
Miller has been out since April 13 while nursing right shoulder inflammation, but he got one step closer to returning Tuesday. The 25-year-old will likely need to make multiple rehab starts with the team's minor-league affiliates before potentially returning to the major-league roster in early June.

1h agoMuncy took some groundballs Tuesday as he started up baseball activities after his recent oblique strain, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
The Dodgers placed Muncy on the 10-day injured list Friday due to a Grade 1 right oblique strain. According to manager Dave Roberts, Muncy sustained the strain in batting practice prior to Thursday's game. Before hitting the injured list, the third baseman was slashing .223/.323/.475 with nine home runs and 28 RBI over 167 plate appearances.

Tillman hasn't been a consistent part of the rotation during the playoffs, appearing in just three matchups and averaging 1.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game. While it's unclear whether he'll be available to begin the Eastern Conference Finals, his status shouldn't significantly impact the rotation.

As expected, Porzingis will remain sidelined to start the Eastern Conference Finals due to a right calf strain he suffered in Boston's opening-round series versus Miami. The Latvian big man didn't practice Monday, so it doesn't appear he's close to game action. However, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported Friday that Boston is optimistic that Porzingis could return at some point during the series versus Indiana.

3h agoKral inked a one-year, two-way deal with Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
The Maple Leafs originally drafted Kral under now-Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas, so his addition to the organization shouldn't be a complete surprise. The 24-year-old defenseman spent last season playing overseas with Finnish club the Pelicans. In his 46 contests, Kral notched five goals and 32 assists. He struggled to show that level of offensive upside in previous AHL stints, so fantasy players probably don't need to jump on Kral even in dynasty formats.

3h agoGruden penned a two-year, two-way contract with the Penguins on Tuesday.
Gruden played in just 13 games at the NHL level this season in which he generated one goal on nine shots, 35 hits and five blocks while averaging 8:40 of ice time. At this point, the youngster will be hard-pressed to break into the 23-man roster full-time next season but should see his fair share of call-ups throughout the campaign.

St. Ivany managed just one point in his 14 NHL appearances this season while averaging 13:42 of ice time. The 24-year-old blueliner is likely a long shot to make the 23-man roster for Opening Night this fall but should be atop the list of potential call-ups throughout the year.

Flames' Martin Pospisil: Injured at World Championship
5h agoPospisil suffered an apparent upper-body injury in Slovakia's matchup with Sweden on Monday, Claire Hanna of TSN reports.
Pospisil has been lighting it up at the international tournament with three goals and four assists. In his rookie campaign, the 24-year-old center notched eight goals and 16 helpers despite not having a significant role with the man advantage. Barring a long-term injury, Pospisil should be capable of improving on those numbers in his sophomore campaign.

Ryan McDonagh TB DLightning's Ryan McDonagh: Returning to Bolts
7h agoMcDonagh was traded to the Lightning from the Predators along with a 2024 fourth-round pick in exchange for a 2025 second-round selection and 2024 seventh-round pick.
McDonagh spent five seasons with the Lightning during his previous stint, logging 267 regular-season games for the club while lifting Lord Stanley's Cup twice during his stay. McDonagh figures to slot into a third pairing for the Lightning. With the acquisition of McDonagh, Tampa Bay is unlikely to re-sign Matt Dumba or Calvin de Haan.

At this point, Lindgren's absences are becoming a concern regarding his availability for Game 1 against the Panthers on Wednesday. If the blueliner does miss any contests, it will likely result in increased ice time for Erik Gustafsson in addition to seeing Zac Jones enter the lineup for the first time since April 7 versus the Habs.
