Graham Gano NYG K
Giants' Graham Gano: Kicking during OTAs
1m agoGano (knee) participated in OTAs on Tuesday, John Schmeelk of the Giants' official site reports.
Gano played in the first eight games of the season before landing on the IR in November due to a left knee knee injury that required surgery. He was back on the field doing kicking drills during OTAs on Tuesday. Gano finished the 2023 season going 11-for-17 on field-goal attempts while making all eight of his extra-point tries.

Deonte Banks NYG CB
Giants' Deonte Banks: Taking part in OTAs
12m agoBanks (shoulder) was on the field for OTAs on Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Banks missed the last two games of the 2023 season due to a shoulder injury he sustained in Week 16 against the Eagles. The 2023 first-round pick finished his rookie year with 64 tackles (53 solo), 11 passes defended and two interceptions over 15 games. Salomone notes that Banks participated in 11-on-11 drills Tuesday, breaking up two passes.
-
Jeremy Ruckert NYJ TE
Jets' Jeremy Ruckert: Participating in OTAs
20m agoRuckert (concussion) took part in OTAs on Tuesday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Ruckert appeared in the first 15 games for the Jets last season, but he missed the final two contests after sustaining a concussion in Week 16 against the Commanders. Ruckert served as the backup tight end behind Tyler Conklin, and the former finished the 2023 season with 16 catches on 22 targets for 151 yards while splitting his time between offense and special teams. Ruckert caught passes from quarterback Aaron Rodgers during seven-on-seven drills Tuesday.

Jevon Holland MIA SAF
Dolphins' Jevon Holland: Back to 100 percent
26m agoHolland told reporters Tuesday that he is fully recovered from the knee injury that kept him out of the playoffs last season, Hal Habib of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Holland missed four games in 2023 due to injuries to both knees. He played the last two games of the regular season, but he was unable to suit up for the Dolphins' wild-card game against the Chiefs. Holland finished with 74 tackles (52 solo), four passes defended, one interception, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery over 12 regular-season games last year.
-
Gavin Hardison MIA QB
Dolphins' Gavin Hardison: Participating in OTAs
36m agoHardison (elbow) was a full participant at the Dolphins' organized training activities Monday, Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Hardison had an elbow injury when he signed with Miami as an undrafted free agent in April. The UTEP product's health appears to be up to par, and he will now move forward looking to make an impression at OTAs. He is presumably competing with Skylar Thompson for the No. 3 option under center behind Tua Tagovailoa and Mike White.
-
Erik Ezukanma MIA WR
Dolphins' Erik Ezukanma: Back on field for OTAs
39m agoEzukanma (neck) participated in OTAs on Tuesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Ezukanma played in just two games at the beginning of 2023 before being placed on the reserve/non-football injury list in September due to a neck injury. He was cleared of his injury before the end of last season, and he admitted to reporters Tuesday that he was concerned that he would not be able to play again, per Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post. Ezukanma has appeared in three regular season games since joining the Dolphins in 2022.

Jon Gray TEX SP
Rangers' Jon Gray: Exits start with groin tightness
7m agoManager Bruce Bochy said Tuesday that Gray was removed from his start against the Phillies due to right groin tightness, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Gray was able to get through five innings before exiting his start, allowing two earned runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four batters. Bochy didn't specify how severe Gray's injury is, so it remains unclear if the right-hander is at risk of missing his next start -- tentatively scheduled for Sunday in Minnesota.

Jose Ramirez CLE 3B
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Homer, three RBI in win
12m agoRamirez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and an RBI double in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Mets.
Ramirez extended Cleveland's lead to 3-0 in the third inning with a two-out double before cranking a two-run homer off Adrian Houser in the fifth, his 12th of the year. The 31-year-old Ramirez has gone 12-for-32 (.375) with three home runs and 13 RBI in his last eight contests. His slash line is up to .258/.305/.495 with 44 RBI, 31 runs scored and seven stolen bases through 210 plate appearances this season.
-
Adrian Houser NYM SP
Mets' Adrian Houser: Struggles in return to rotation
18m agoHouser (0-4) took the loss Tuesday against the Guardians, allowing six runs on six hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out four.
Houser looked to be rolling early, as he'd retire the first seven batters faced. However, he'd allow three runs on three doubles in the third inning before Jose Ramirez launched a two-run homer in the fifth, leaving Houser with his fourth loss. The 31-year-old right-hander has struggled to a 7.88 ERA with a 1.78 WHIP and 21:24 K:BB through his first 37.2 innings with New York. If the Mets return to a five-man rotation, Houser will likely head back to the bullpen.
-
Xzavion Curry CLE SP
Guardians' Xzavion Curry: Goes 4.1 innings vs. Mets
27m agoCurry did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Mets, allowing two runs on seven hits over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.
Curry got off to a strong start Tuesday, holding the Mets scoreless through his first four innings. However, after striking out Starling Marte to open the fifth, Curry gave up four straight hits, including a home run to Mark Vientos, as he was pulled from the game before he could qualify for the win. While the 25-year-old Curry held the Red Sox scoreless through five innings in his only other start with Cleveland this year, he'd been struggling mightily with Triple-A Columbus, pitching to an 11.22 ERA in his last five outings. Still, he could get another look in the big-league rotation with Carlos Carrasco (neck) going on the IL. Curry would tentatively line up for a road matchup with the Rockies in his next start.
-
Emmanuel Clase CLE RP
Guardians' Emmanuel Clase: Up to 15 saves
36m agoClase earned the save in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Mets, working around a hit in a scoreless ninth inning.
Clase's now pitched three consecutive days while locking down saves in back-to-back outings. He'd allow a one-out single to Francisco Lindor on Tuesday before inducing a game-ending double play off the bat of Pete Alonso. Clase lowered his ERA to a pristine 0.36 with a 0.59 WHIP and 24:2 K:BB across 25.1 innings while converting a league-leading 15 saves in 18 opportunities.
-
Eloy Jimenez CHW DH
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Exits with hamstring injury
1h agoJimenez was removed from Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays with a left hamstring strain.
Jimenez appeared to be limping after scoring from second base during the fifth inning of Tuesday's contest, and Gavin Sheets later replaced him as Chicago's DH during the seventh. The severity of Jimenez's injury remains unclear, but the White Sox will take a closer look at him and should offer more information on his status after the game.
-
Kristaps Porzingis BOS C
Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Targeting Game 4 return
2h agoPorzingis (calf) won't play in Thursday's Game 2 against the Pacers but could return as soon as Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals on May 27, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Porzingis has already been ruled out for Game 1 on Tuesday and seems set to miss at least the next two games of the series. In Porzingis' absence, Al Horford should continue to start at center for Boston, with Luke Kornet receiving extended playing time off the bench.
-
Mike Conley MIN PG
Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Deemed questionable for Game 1
3h agoConley (Achilles) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals versus the Timberwolves.
Conley continues to deal with a right soleus strain but has suited up in each of Minnesota's last two contests. The veteran guard played 38 minutes in Game 7 against Denver, so he will likely be set for a full workload if he's upgraded to available.
-
Olivier-Maxence Prosper DAL SF
Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Another absence coming
4h agoProsper (ankle) is out for Wednesday's Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Timberwolves.
Prosper's absence streak will extend to 12 games Wednesday due to a left ankle sprain. There is no timetable for the rookie forward's return.
-
Luka Doncic DAL PG
Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Likely to play Wednesday
4h agoDoncic (knee/ankle) is listed as probable for Wednesday's Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Timberwolves.
Doncic continues to deal with a right knee sprain and left ankle soreness but has yet to miss a game these playoffs. The superstar guard is averaging 42.1 minutes per contest across his 12 appearances this postseason.
-
Xavier Tillman BOS C
Celtics' Xavier Tillman: Won't be available for Game 1
7h agoTillman (personal) has been ruled out for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers on Tuesday.
Tillman will join Kristaps Porzingis (calf) as unavailable, but the former's absence shouldn't impact Boston's rotation, as he's appeared in just three of Boston's first 10 postseason contests. Al Horford and Luke Kornet should continue to handle all meaningful minutes at center in Game 1.
-
Xavier Tillman BOS C
Celtics' Xavier Tillman: Questionable for Game 1
1d agoTillman is questionable for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Pacers due to personal reasons, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
Tillman hasn't been a consistent part of the rotation during the playoffs, appearing in just three matchups and averaging 1.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game. While it's unclear whether he'll be available to begin the Eastern Conference Finals, his status shouldn't significantly impact the rotation.
-
Filip Kral TOR D
Penguins' Filip Kral: Signs one-year contract
5h agoKral inked a one-year, two-way deal with Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
The Maple Leafs originally drafted Kral under now-Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas, so his addition to the organization shouldn't be a complete surprise. The 24-year-old defenseman had five goals and 37 points in 46 contests with the Pelicans in Finland's top league. He struggled to show that level of offensive upside in previous AHL stints, so fantasy players probably don't need to jump on Kral even in dynasty formats.
-
Johnny Gruden PIT C
Penguins' Johnny Gruden: Signs two-year deal
5h agoGruden penned a two-year, two-way contract with the Penguins on Tuesday.
Gruden played in just 13 games at the NHL level this season in which he generated one goal on nine shots, 35 hits and five blocks while averaging 8:40 of ice time. At this point, the youngster will be hard-pressed to break into the 23-man roster full-time next season but should see his fair share of call-ups throughout the campaign.
-
Jack St. Ivany PIT D
Penguins' Jack St. Ivany: Grabs three-year deal
5h agoSt. Ivany agreed to terms on a three-year, two-way contract with Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
St. Ivany managed just one point in his 14 NHL appearances this season while averaging 13:42 of ice time. The 24-year-old blueliner is likely a long shot to make the 23-man roster for Opening Night this fall but should be atop the list of potential call-ups throughout the year.
-
Martin Pospisil CGY C
Flames' Martin Pospisil: Injured at World Championship
6h agoPospisil suffered an apparent upper-body injury in Slovakia's matchup with Sweden on Monday, Claire Hanna of TSN reports.
Pospisil has been lighting it up at the international tournament with three goals and four assists. In his rookie campaign, the 24-year-old center notched eight goals and 16 helpers despite not having a significant role with the man advantage. Barring a long-term injury, Pospisil should be capable of improving on those numbers in his sophomore campaign.
-
Ryan McDonagh TB D
Lightning's Ryan McDonagh: Returning to Bolts
9h agoMcDonagh was traded to the Lightning from the Predators along with a 2024 fourth-round pick in exchange for a 2025 second-round selection and 2024 seventh-round pick.
McDonagh spent five seasons with the Lightning during his previous stint, logging 267 regular-season games for the club while lifting Lord Stanley's Cup twice during his stay. McDonagh figures to slot into a third pairing for the Lightning. With the acquisition of McDonagh, Tampa Bay is unlikely to re-sign Matt Dumba or Calvin de Haan.
-
Ryan Lindgren NYR D
Rangers' Ryan Lindgren: Missing from practice again
10h agoLindgren was absent for his third straight day due to maintenance issues, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports Tuesday.
At this point, Lindgren's absences are becoming a concern regarding his availability for Game 1 against the Panthers on Wednesday. If the blueliner does miss any contests, it will likely result in increased ice time for Erik Gustafsson in addition to seeing Zac Jones enter the lineup for the first time since April 7 versus the Habs.
