Rasheen Ali BAL RB
Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Hopeful for training camp
1h agoHead coach John Harbaugh indicated Saturday that he expects Ali (biceps) to be good to go in time for training camp, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Ali ruptured his biceps tendon at the Senior Bowl, but he was still selected by the Ravens in the fifth-round of this year's draft. The intriguing prospect had multiple 1,000-yard seasons with Marshall, but he also missed nearly the entire 2022 campaign due to an MCL injury. When healthy, he projects to compete for a role providing depth in Baltimore's backfield behind Derrick Henry.

Ro Torrence 2005 CB
Seahawks' Ro Torrence: Lands with Seahawks
20h agoSeattle signed Torrence to a contract Friday, Howard Balzer of GoPHNX.com reports.
Torrence wasn't selected in the NFL Draft in late April but will get a shot to make his case for a roster or practice-squad spot after signing with the Seahawks. The 6-foot-3 defensive back played the final two seasons of college with Arizona State and totaled 37 tackles (including 2.0 sacks) along with an interception in 2023. Torrence allowed just 20 receptions in coverage last season, the lowest total among Pac-12 cornerbacks with at least 300 snaps played in coverage during the regular season.

Kitan Oladapo GB SAF
Packers' Kitan Oladapo: Undergoes toe surgery
21h agoOladapo (toe) has undergone surgery and is not expected to be ready for OTAs, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Although he will miss OTAs, the team remains optimistic that Oladapo will be ready for training camp after suffering a stress fracture doing drills on the turf at the NFL Combine. The rookie was the third safety selected by the Packers in the 2024 NFL Draft, following Javon Bullard and Evan Williams. The Oregon State product will need to get his health back up to par in order to make an impression during training camp.

Le'Raven Clark PHI OT
Eagles' Le'Raven Clark: Placed on IR
21h agoThe Eagles placed Clark on injured reserve Friday.
It is unclear what Clark's injury is or how he sustained it, but he is a rare offseason addition to IR. This will allow the Eagles some roster flexibility going forward. The journeyman failed to make a roster or practice squad during the 2023 season, but he will look to bounce back once his health is back up to par.
-
Tyler Harrell 2005 WR
Jets' Tyler Harrell: Joins Jets
21h agoThe Jets signed Harrell on Friday, Ethan Greenberg and John Pullano of the team's official site report.
Harrell totaled four receptions for 45 yards as a sixth-year senior at Miami in 2023. The Jets are thin at wide receiver going into 2024, so he could be in the competition for the last few spots on their final depth chart.
-
Shi Smith KC WR
Shi Smith: Done in Kansas City
21h agoThe Chiefs waived Smith on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Smith did not appear in a regular-season game in 2023, and now Kansas City has decided to let him go ahead of 2024. He'll have to look for his next opportunity with a different squad.

Ramon Urias BAL 3B
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Sitting third straight
7m agoUrias isn't in the Orioles' lineup Saturday against the Reds, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Urias saw an initial uptick in playing time after Jackson Holliday was optioned back to Triple-A Norfolk, but Saturday will mark his third consecutive game taking a backseat to Jordan Westburg. Urias is slashing just .167/.184/.250 across 49 plate appearances this season, and his lack of offensive production has likely caused him to slide down on the Orioles' depth chart.
-
Josh Naylor CLE 1B
Guardians' Josh Naylor: Idle against lefty
14m agoNaylor isn't in the Guardians' lineup Saturday against the Angels.
The left-handed Naylor will take a seat as fellow left-hander Reid Detmers starts on the hill for Los Angeles. David Fry will take over at first base and bat fourth.
-
Estevan Florial CLE DH
Guardians' Estevan Florial: Sits down against lefty
15m agoFlorial isn't in the Guardians' lineup Saturday against the Angels.
The left-handed bat of Florial will step out of the lineup Saturday as southpaw Reid Detmers prepares to start for the Halos. His absence will move Bo Naylor into the DH role while Austin Hedges draws a start at catcher.
-
Will Brennan CLE RF
Guardians' Will Brennan: Resting versus lefty
18m agoBrennan isn't in the Guardians' lineup Saturday versus the Angels.
Left-hander Reid Detmers will toe the slab for Los Angeles on Saturday, meaning the lefty-hitting Brennan will begin the game in the dugout. Ramon Laureano will fill the void in right field and bat fifth.
-
Luis Rengifo LAA 2B
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Battling illness
22m agoRengifo is out of Saturday's lineup versus Cleveland due to an illness, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
Rengifo was reportedly feeling under the weather Friday as well, but he won't be able to play through his illness Saturday. Ehire Adrianza is filling in as the Angels' third baseman and could continue to do so if Rengifo is forced to miss any additional games.
-
Alec Marsh KC SP
Royals' Alec Marsh: Making rehab start Sunday
1h agoMarsh (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Omaha on Sunday.
Manager Matt Quatraro hinted Friday toward sending Marsh out on a rehab assignment, and the 25-year-old righty will now officially build back up with Omaha. Starting Sunday would put Marsh in line to return to Kansas City's rotation Friday against the Angels, though it's unclear if the Royals will want to keep him in the minors for multiple starts.

Lonzo Ball CHI PG
Bulls' Lonzo Ball: Picks up option for 2024-25
9m agoBall (knee) has picked up the $21.4 million player option in his contract for the 2024-25 season, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Ball continues to work toward a potential comeback before he hits the open market next summer, as he signed an original four-year, $80 million free agent deal in 2021, so it was a no-brainer for him to pick up this option. Ball hasn't logged minutes at the NBA level since Jan. 2022, but both the player and the organization are hopeful he'll be able to step on the hardwood at some point during the 2024-25 campaign.

Maxi Kleber DAL C
Mavericks' Maxi Kleber: Likely out for postseason
1h agoKleber (shoulder) is expected to miss a significant amount of time, if not the entire postseason, due to a full dislocation of his right AC joint, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Kleber suffered the injury in Friday's Game 6 victory over the Clippers. Barring a quick turnaround, it looks like Dallas will need to start planning to be without him going forward. As a result, Derrick Jones and Josh Green are candidates to see increased roles providing depth behind P.J. Washington at power forward.
-
Kyrie Irving DAL PG
Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Carries Mavericks to Game 6 win
7h agoIrving provided 30 points (11-19 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 3-5 FT), six rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals across 42 minutes during Friday's 114-101 victory over the Clippers in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Irving led the Mavericks on offense and was a consistent weapon alongside Luka Doncic, reaching the 30-point mark in three of the six outings in the first-round series against the Clippers. He should continue to play a prominent role on offense for Dallas ahead of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Thunder.
-
Dereck Lively II DAL C
Mavericks' Dereck Lively: Close to double-double in Game 6
7h agoLively supplied 10 points (3-3 FG, 4-8 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one steal across 24 minutes during Friday's 114-101 victory over the Clippers in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Lively was perfect from the field, active on the glass and efficient in limited minutes out there. The rookie has shown he can be a valuable contributor on both ends of the court when called upon duty, but his fantasy upside won't be high if he continues to play off the bench.
-
Luka Doncic DAL PG
Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Shines in series-clinching win
7h agoDoncic accumulated 28 points (9-26 FG, 1-10 3Pt, 9-11 FT), seven rebounds, 13 assists, one block and one steal in 43 minutes during Friday's 114-101 win over the Clippers in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Kyrie Irving led the way for the Mavericks on offense, and Doncic didn't have his most efficient display, but he filled the stat sheet admirably and finished just three rebounds away from a triple-double. The fact that he surpassed the 25-point mark in all but one of the six games in the series against the Clippers shows how dominant Doncic can be on offense, and the numbers don't lie, as he averaged 29.8 points, 9.5 assists and 8.8 rebounds per game in the first round, posting four double-doubles and one triple-double in the process.
-
Ivica Zubac LAC C
Clippers' Ivica Zubac: Double-doubles in playoff exit
7h agoZubac produced 17 points (6-11 FG, 5-8 FT), 11 rebounds and one assist in 37 minutes during Friday's 114-101 loss to the Mavericks in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
The Clippers needed someone to step up with Kawhi Leonard (knee) sidelined in Game 6, and Ivica Zubac did what he could on both ends of the court. He finished the series with three double-doubles in six outings and scored in double digits each time while shooting a robust 60 percent from the field. Zubac isn't flashy and is not one of the most athletic big men in the league, but he gets the job done. He also averaged 11.7 points and 9.2 boards per contest during the regular season.
-
Nicolas Hague LV D
Golden Knights' Nicolas Hague: Out for Game 7
3h agoHague (lower body) won't play in Game 7 against Dallas on Sunday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Hague hasn't played since suffering the injury late in Game 1. The 25-year-old blueliner went scoreless in his final 20 regular-season contests this year -- he finished with two goals and 12 over 73 outings. Alec Martinez and Zach Whitecloud should round out Vegas' defensive corps while Hague is sidelined.
-
Adam Henrique EDM C
Oilers' Adam Henrique: Set to play in Game 1
3h agoHenrique (lower body) is expected to play in Game 1 of Edmonton's second-round series against Vancouver, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.
Henrique didn't practice Saturday after skipping Friday's session for maintenance. Still, he's projected to play once the second round begins. Henrique has generated one goal, one assist, four shots on net and 22 hits through five outings this postseason.
-
Brett Pesce CAR D
Hurricanes' Brett Pesce: Not traveling to New York
4h agoPesce (lower body) won't travel with the Hurricanes ahead of Game 1 against the Rangers on Sunday, ruling him out for the first two games of the series, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Pesce missed the final three games of Carolina's opening-round series after suffering a lower-body injury in Game 2 against the Islanders. The 29-year-old blueliner has one assist in two playoff games after tallying three goals and 13 points in 70 regular-season contests. Tony DeAngelo will likely remain on the Hurricanes' second pairing until Pesce can return.
-
Auston Matthews TOR C
Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Skating Saturday
4h agoMatthews (illness) skated at practice, though his status remains unclear for Saturday's Game 7 against the Bruins, Mike Zeisberger of NHL.com reports.
It's the first time Matthews has practiced since he left Game 4 with an illness. He has missed the last two games of the series. Getting Matthews back would be a massive boost for the Leafs in Game 7, though it appears he'll remain a game-time decision for now.
-
Bobby McMann TOR C
Maple Leafs' Bobby McMann: Not playing Saturday
4h agoMcMann (lower body) will not be in the lineup for Game 7 in Boston on Saturday, according to Joshua Kloke of The Athletic.
The good news is that McMann is getting closer after participating in Saturday's morning skate. The 27-year-old winger will miss his ninth straight game, but he could return in time for the start of Round 2 -- should Toronto advance past Boston. McMann had 15 goals, nine assists and 117 hits across 56 regular-season games in 2023-24.
-
Raphael Lavoie EDM C
Oilers' Raphael Lavoie: Summoned from AHL
5h agoLavoie, Lane Pederson, Adam Erne, Cam Dineen, Benjamin Gleason, Philip Kemp and Olivier Rodrigue were recalled from AHL Bakersfield on Saturday.
Following the Condors' elimination from the AHL playoffs, the seven call-ups will be depth players during the Oilers' postseason run. Lavoie didn't earn a point in seven NHL regular-season games during the 2023-24 campaign.
