Daxton Hill CIN DB
Bengals' Dax Hill: Operating as cornerback in 2024
2h agoHill is expected to be a part of the Bengals' cornerback room in 2024, Jay Morrison of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Hill spent his sophomore campaign operating as a starting safety for the Bengals, recording 110 tackles, including 1.5 sacks, while also intercepting two passes and deflecting 11 others over 17 contests. Head coach Zac Taylor said Sunday that Hill will "be in the cornerback room" this year, which could mean a position change is in store. The team signed former Raven Geno Stone this offseason and could replace Hill at safety in 2024.

Harrison Mevis 2005 K
Harrison Mevis: Heading to Carolina
2h agoMevis is slated to sign with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent Sunday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Mevis made 24 of 30 field-goal attempts at Missouri last year, including a 61-yard conversion that set an SEC record. He'll now challenge Eddy Pineiro during offseason activities.
-
Michael Wiley 2005 RB
Michael Wiley: Signing with Washington
3h agoWiley (thumb) is slated to sign with the Commanders as an undrafted free agent Sunday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Wiley wasn't selected during the 2024 NFL Draft but will have a chance to compete for a role with Washington during offseason activities. He sustained a thumb injury during the Senior Bowl in March, and it's unclear when he'll be back to full health.
-

Jadon Janke: Signing with Houston
3h agoJanke is slated to sign with the Texans as an unrestricted free agent Sunday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 reports.
Janke showed improvement over each of his four seasons at South Dakota State, and he tallied 57 receptions for 946 yards and 10 touchdowns while rushing twice for 11 yards and a touchdown in 2023. He'll attempt to make his mark during offseason activities with Houston.
-
Mekhi Becton NYJ OT
Mekhi Becton: Signing with Philadelphia
3h agoBecton and the Eagles have agreed on a one-year, $5.5 million contract, pending a physical Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Becton appears to be set to join the Eagles after starting 16 games with the Jets in 2023. The offensive tackle has dealt with multiple significant lower-body injuries in his four-year NFL career, limiting his time on the field, and he'll look to carve out a consistent role with Philadelphia.
-
Carson Steele 2005 RB
Carson Steele: Slated to sign with Kansas City
4h agoSteele is slated to sign with Kansas City as an undrafted free agent Sunday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Steele began his collegiate career by playing two seasons at Ball State, but he joined UCLA for the 2023 campaign. His production declined with the Bruins, but he still rushed 167 times for 847 yards and six touchdowns while tallying 17 receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns during his year at UCLA. He'll now spend time with Kansas City during offseason activities.

Ben Lively CLE SP
Guardians' Ben Lively: Yields one run in no-decision
12m agoLively didn't factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks against Atlanta. He struck out five.
Lively has yet to allow more than two runs in a start this season. However, he's only gone deeper than five innings in one of his three appearances. He was pulled at 88 pitches (53 strikes) Sunday and didn't give up a home run for the first time all year. In 15.2 innings, Lively owns a 2.30 ERA with a 10.9 K/9, a massive improvement from his 5.38 ERA and 8.0 K/9 from 2023. He's projected for a start against the Angels on Saturday.

Twins' Jose Miranda: Doubles twice in win
12m agoMiranda went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI in Sunday's victory over the Angels.
Miranda opened the game's scoring with an RBI single in the fourth inning. He later drove in Minnesota's 11th and final run of the game with an RBI double in the eighth. Miranda has collected multiple hits in three straight games, going 7-for-13 (.538) with four extra-base hits in the process. His slash line is up to .292/.320/.500 through 16 games.

-
Reid Detmers LAA SP
Angels' Reid Detmers: Stumbles again Sunday
28m agoDetmers (3-2) yielded five runs on nine hits over five innings Sunday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Twins.
Detmers fired three perfect innings before the Twins broke the scoreless tie in the fourth inning. He ran into more trouble in the fifth, coughing up four runs on five hits. After an incredible start to his season in which he produced a 30:7 K:BB and 1.19 ERA through four starts, Detmers has taken two straight losses, yielding nine runs in 12 innings. His ERA climbed to 3.12 but he still owns a strong 37:10 K:BB through 34.2 frames. Detmers is projected for a road start in Cleveland next weekend.
-
Pablo Lopez MIN SP
Twins' Pablo Lopez: Earns ugly win
41m agoLopez (2-2) allowed four runs on four hits and a walk in five innings Sunday, striking out eight and picking up a win over the Angels.
Lopez tossed four shutout frames before the Angels caught fire in the fifth inning, plating four runs. Three of those runs came via back-to-back homers by Luis Rengifo and Nolan Schanuel. Lopez forced 13 whiffs after totaling just five in his last outing against the White Sox. Still, he saw his ERA climb to 4.83 through six starts. Lopez is currently in line for a home matchup with Boston next weekend.
-
Patrick Corbin WAS SP
Nationals' Patrick Corbin: Lit up during no-decision
42m agoCorbin did not factor into the decision during Sunday's win over the Marlins, allowing seven runs (four earned) on eight hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out four.
Corbin labored through 93 pitches in just four innings, digging his own grave by starting just eight of 22 batters with a first pitch strike. The veteran southpaw shut down a potent Dodgers lineup during his last start but couldn't carry the momentum into this matchup with the Marlins, allowing all seven runs during the first two innings. Following the rough start, Corbin did face the minimum through his final two innings, providing a bit of a silver lining over the bad start and allowing the Nationals an opportunity to come all the way back and secure the victory. Corbin's next start is tentatively scheduled to take place during a home set next weekend against the Blue Jays.

Myles Turner IND C
Pacers' Myles Turner: Leads from deep in balanced Game 4
34m agoTurner posted 29 points (10-17 FG, 7-9 3Pt, 2-6 FT), nine rebounds, four assists and three blocks over 38 minutes in Sunday's 126-113 win over the Bucks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Turner continued his strong performance in the series against Milwaukee, taking advantage of the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) by putting together another well-rounded outing to help Indiana to a commanding 3-1 series lead. Turner led all players in Sunday's contest in threes made while leading the Pacers in scoring, rebounds and blocks in a near double-double showing. Turner has been dominant all series, posting at least 20 points and seven rebounds in three of his four postseason outings.
-
Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Boosts offensively in Game 4 win
35m agoHaliburton finished with 24 points (8-16 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds four assists and one steal over 32 minutes in Sunday's 126-113 win over the Bucks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Haliburton followed up his breakout performance in Friday's Game 3 by putting forth another strong outing in Game 4, connecting on a handful of threes while ending as one of two Pacers players with 20 or more points in a winning effort. Haliburton tallied his highest point total of the series against Milwaukee, also connecting on more than three threes for the first time of the playoffs. Look for Haliburton to have another big game in a potential series-clinching Game 5 as he attempts to lead Indiana to the next round.
-
Pascal Siakam IND PF
Pacers' Pascal Siakam: Well-rounded showing in Game 4
36m agoSiakam notched 13 points (6-14 FG< 0-4 3Pt, 1-3 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block over 40 minutes in Sunday's 126-113 win over the Bucks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Siakam has been outstanding for Indiana all series against Milwaukee, posting a well-rounded performance in Sunday's Game 4 while helping the Pacers take a commanding 3-1 series lead. Siakam struggled shooting a bit from the field, but still reached double figures in scoring while ending one rebound and three assists short of a triple-double. Siakam has tallied at least 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists in two games this series, and we should expect him to continue to shine for Indiana in a potential series-clinching Game 5 in Milwaukee.
-
Malik Beasley MIL SG
Bucks' Malik Beasley: Tallies 20 points in Game 4 start
1h agoBeasley tallied 20 points (8-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists over 34 minutes in Sunday's 126-113 loss to the Pacers in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Beasley entered the starting lineup Sunday with Damian Lillard (Achilles) being added to Milwaukee's inactive list, connecting on a team-high mark from three while ending three points shy of the 20-point mark in a losing effort. Beasley reached double figures in scoring for the first time of the postseason, connecting on at least three threes in two straight outings. If Lillard is unable to return in a win-or-go-home Game 5, look for Beasley to return to the starting lineup or at least have a large role in the rotation for the Bucks.
-
Brook Lopez MIL C
Bucks' Brook Lopez: Nears double-double as top scorer
1h agoLopez notched 27 points (12-18 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 0-4 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one block over 39 minutes in Sunday's 126-113 loss to the Pacers in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Lopez led all Bucks players in scoring in Sunday's loss while connecting on a trio of threes and ending one rebound shy of a double-double in a balanced performance. Lopez has stepped up as the leader in the paint for Milwaukee during the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf), reaching double figures in all four postseason games while finishing with his highest scoring and rebound marks of the series thus far.
-
Khris Middleton MIL SF
Bucks' Khris Middleton: Balanced outing in Game 4 loss
1h agoMiddleton finished with 25 points (9-22 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists and one steal over 40 minutes in Sunday's 126-113 loss to the Pacers in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Middleton once again tried to do all he could to help lead the shorthanded Bucks past the Pacers in Game 4, leading all players in Sunday's contest in rebounds while handing out a handful of assists and ending as one of three players with 20 or more points in a losing effort. Expect Middleton to continue to try and lead the Bucks in a win-or-go-home Game 5 in Milwaukee, especially if Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) and Damian Lillard (Achilles) are unable to return for the elimination game.
-
Mark Jankowski NSH C
Predators' Mark Jankowski: Scores goal in Game 4 loss
2m agoJankowski scored a goal and added two hits in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canucks in Game 4.
Jankowski snapped a nine-game goal drought with his first-period tally, which tied the game at 1-1. The 29-year-old has two points, three shots on net, four hits and a minus-1 rating over four playoff appearances. He shouldn't be expected to produce much offense while playing in a bottom-six role.
-
Gustav Nyquist NSH C
Predators' Gustav Nyquist: Tallies in loss
4m agoNyquist scored a goal and went minus-2 in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canucks in Game 4.
Nyquist put the Predators ahead 2-1 in the second period with his first goal of the playoffs. The 34-year-old winger has added two assists, three shots on net, four hits and a minus-4 rating over four appearances. Nyquist is still steady on offense, but the Predators have been unable to protect narrow leads well in the first round.
-
Filip Forsberg NSH LW
Predators' Filip Forsberg: Finds twine in Game 4 loss
6m agoForsberg scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM and logged four hits in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canucks in Game 4.
Forsberg's tally 12 seconds into the third period put the Predators up 3-1, but they couldn't hold the lead. The 29-year-old has done his part with two goals, two assists, 12 shots on net and 12 hits over four playoff contests, but Nashville is facing elimination after Sunday's loss. Forsberg will look to find another gear in Game 5 on Tuesday in Vancouver.
-
Juuse Saros NSH G
Predators' Juuse Saros: Falters late in Game 4
8m agoSaros stopped 16 of 20 shots in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canucks in Game 4.
The Canucks again failed to direct much traffic at Saros, but he took a loss for the third time in four games in the first round. The 29-year-old couldn't maintain a 3-1 lead late in the third period as Brock Boeser scored twice in the final three minutes to force overtime, where Elias Lindholm completed Vancouver's comeback. Saros has allowed 10 goals on 70 shots through four games in this series, and he'll now be in must-win mode beginning with Tuesday's Game 5 in Vancouver.
-
Carson Soucy VAN D
Canucks' Carson Soucy: Gets on scoresheet with assist
12m agoSoucy notched an assist and four hits in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Predators in Game 4.
The helper was Soucy's first point in 23 games since he returned from a hand injury in early March. The 29-year-old defenseman has been a steady presence in the lineup since his return, but he plays a physical game in a bottom-four role that hasn't led to much room for scoring. He had a mediocre six points with 29 shots on net, 65 hits and 64 blocked shots over 40 regular-season appearances.
-
Dakota Joshua VAN C
Canucks' Dakota Joshua: Provides helper Sunday
14m agoJoshua notched an assist and two hits in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Predators in Game 4.
Joshua started the playoffs with a three-point effort in Game 1, but his offense went cold until he helped out on Elias Lindholm's game-winning tally Sunday. In addition to his four points, Joshua has added 17 hits, four blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over four postseason appearances. He remains a physical presence on the Canucks' third line, though he's also proven capable of chipping in with depth scoring.
